Eric, you can't help being French.  Maybe one day you'll learn to cope with your 'disability', but until then we're willing to help you manage [:D][:'(]

At least, you aren't from europe, right [;)]

As an englishman, i think Dixie is in Europe...but without being in it, but being a small part of it but not within.....[sm=dizzy.gif];
Sorry, it's a bit of an old joke in France...it's coming as far as General De Gaulle.
I don't want to ignite any political debate here.....

When I was an exchange student in the UK in 1983, I was frequently and strongly advised by British students that they were not Europeans. I recall one young lady being most emphatic that "they were subjects, not citizens". Most of my British friends now refer to themselves as Europeans and as citizens. So I'm assuming that times have changed. And just for the record, I'm one American who loves British food. But also French,Scandanavian,German,Spanish,Portugese,Carribean,South American,Japanese,Korean........H'm, I starting to see a pattern here...[:D]

you forgot cajun which is good and tex-mex which is good and the best of all texas barbecue.

No , I didn't. I like Cajun, but can't handle spiceyness. Tone it down and I love it. That's why Thai's not on my list. Again, tone it down and it's great. Food's no fun if your taste buds get nuked on the 1st bite. Then you might as well be eating college food. Tex-mex is fine, but I perfer Real Mexican when I can get it. Sorry Bobo.[:)]

good cajun is not supposed to nuke the taste buds in the first bite. that is crappy cajun that the chef has to mask the fact that his food tastes like sh*t so he throws in a huge amount of hot spices to kill your taste buds so you don't notice.

Agreed... lazy or poor cooks think that spicy has to mean "flamethrower peppery" when it should be a tasteful blend of flavors that delights the palate...

you should be eating in and not really notice the spices till you realise you are swetting a little bit and that a cold beer would taste awsome.

unemployment might be preferable at this point from a health perspective.

bobogoboom -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/9/2009 4:59:09 PM)

oh did you finaly find a job?

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/9/2009 4:59:18 PM)

always had one. I'm looking for a new job having finished a recent bout of night school however my timing, as usual was excellent, coinciding with our wonderful recession and after 7 months of looking i've gotten not one solid bite. Hence i'm stuck at the job that is slowly killing me.

I even get to go see a Specialist today to begin determining whether or not i'm developing an ulcer.

So the topic of "lunch" doesn't generate any feelings of hunger at the moment.

Terminus -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/9/2009 5:31:54 PM)

Early evening Tithe...

Nik is no longer allowed to taunt or otherwise verbally abuse customers so the stress keeps building.

Btw, how is fog-of-war dog doing? Nothing broken recently?

Jawohl, but you know how anal retentive we Germans are.

But that sucker looks like it's never been ridden ... and the "21st-century-Dorothy-ruby slippers" look like they've never been worn...

Now, I hold a minor interest in the bicycle seat industry, and, until one of you maniacal perverts goes and sniffs that seat for evidence of human habitation, I'm withholding judgment on the veracity and applicability of that picture...

pasternakski -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/10/2009 1:37:05 AM)

Okay. I'm going home now. I will go to my bedroom, crawl into bed, cover up my head, and never come back out.

I just ran across a "news report" stating that some bunch of genetically challenged of uncertain genus and species report that they have seen Michael Jackson's image in a tree stump and have created a shrine around it.

Goodbye, cruel world. Parting was never easier...

Big B -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/10/2009 2:32:38 AM)

This sort of thing happens every day in L.A. [sm=scared0018.gif]

How could you possibly not expect that type of insanity? [:D]
