Now, I hold a minor interest in the bicycle seat industry, and, until one of you maniacal perverts goes and sniffs that seat for evidence of human habitation, I'm withholding judgment on the veracity and applicability of that picture...
The only thing in my life that I am anal about keeping clean is my bike. Because of that I have one bike from 1980 that looks almost like a new bike (a few paint chips here and there).
That being said, I'll bet that particular bike was very new when he took that photo.
Here's a picture of the bike I ride most often. It was only a couple of years old when the pic was taken.
