July, 1808 Glory Standings There has been a slight increase in the Ottoman lead over Great Britain. Hopefully, this trend will continue for some years. Constantinople is going through a little expansion on its docks complex. There is much trade that goes through that province. With level 7 docks there should be a big increase in income from trade activity there. We will find out. There are a few years of work to reach that level, so it'll be a while. July Battle reports France has won a great victory at Provence. This will cause a huge drop in Spanish moral. Spain also has the levee in mass doctrine. It should have some rather large reserves. July Siege reports Venice has fallen! It has long been a dream of the Sultan to have Venice in the Empire. For the first time in over 1700 years it will now be part of the true Empire... As mentioned earlier, the divisions that Spain has lost in Venice were powerful units. The Spanish King no doubt regrets positioning them there. At the top of the Page is a decisive victory by ottoman forces and at the bottom is another decisive victory by our good ally, France. July Treaty Report Austria is really in bad shape. It cannot afford to pay its reparations. In view of the current deployments of Ottoman fores far from home, the dependability of depot sharing cannot be left to chance. For some reason those treaties expire-without notice. July Training Wheel training has been added to Ottoman training doctrines. Ottoman parity with the major European states has become a reality-next goal; supremacy. As the Sultan pointed out over 15 years ago, it will not be easy, but it is not an impossibility to achieve supremacy on the battlefield. July North Italy The Ottoman 1st Army has been ordered to speed march to Provence-and charge the walls. There is some doubt that it will even reach the province as there are mountains that need to be crossed-however, they will do their best. With the Sultan in the vanguard, it should do fairly well. August Battle Reports It was somewhat of a surprise in reaching Provence-even to the Sultan. There was good weather all along the march. The Army even arrived soon enough to be able to assist the French in capturing the citadel. It has actually fallen into Ottoman hands rather than France's. August 1st Army Org After the siege in Marseilles the 1st Army was brought back up to full strength-there is no shortage of replacement. I think this is about as large an army should become unless the 7 division corps can be attained. It is fit and large enough to fight any enemy now. It will soon be put to the test. August South France The first Army will continue with its speed march-straight across southern France to the Bay of Biscay. There are large Spanish forces in the area-it is hoped that a battle can be had. With the recent training, it is felt that the Ottoman Army has an upper hand in a contest with Spain. August Strength Comparison Ottoman strength is continuing a rapid increase-even in the face of mass speed marches and siege losses. September, 1808 Glory Standings All Europe is still alarmed at Spain-[;)][;)], but not for much longer. Ottoman glory is still slightly out pacing great Britain. Hopefully, this situation between Great Britain and the Ottoman Empire can be settled in the construction yards were new art and culture centers are being built-and not the battlefield. September Otto Glory Changes Mixed in with the normal adjustments is the 52 increase for a victory. This has given the Ottoman Empire a very good lead over Great Britain. September Battle Reports The battle of Gascony was a decisive victory for the Ottoman 1st Army. It was still speed marching from Marseilles so there was some concern that the divisions would be too tired to fight well-they fought very well. Even though Spain has the levee in mass doctrine it must be running short of replacements after losing two large battles. It looks like Caligari has also fallen to France-more moral losses for Spain. September Siege Reports There was not much time left to capture the city of Bordeaux after the great battle. It is not really an objective of the Ottoman forces to liberate French cities-it is to defeat the Spanish Army wherever it is found. Milan has finally fallen which will release the Egyptian Army for duty elsewhere. It will initially be sent to central Italy.
