ORIGINAL: Zap Hi Maestro, Can't neglect the good governace part of the game, can you.. I guess the game has been moved to this area because of the time its been out. Phillip Hi Zap It may be possible to achieve victory with the other nations while not playing close attention to economic matters. That is not the case with the O.E. Its economy is a built in handicap which should preclude it from achieving victory in the game. I had played as Turkey in SP mode before this game started-so I knew what I was getting into. I also knew what I would have to do if I wanted to have a chance of becoming the Grand Pubba of all Europe and beyond. The economics aspect of this scenario are quite interesting. I have gotten better at it as the years rolled along. In the beginning I was sort of lucky in my choices. I need a little bit more of luck now-the end game presents some different choices in priorities. For Turkey, economics is as important as diplomacy and military operations in the long run. You can win a war or two, have some good alliances that actually help Turkey. However, if it is not strong enough to hold its own, on its own, in the end game it will be squashed like a bug by its wonderful neighbors. The game has been out for a year and a half-long overdue for the move to its current location. I'm not sure how that will affect traffic in this forum. Hopefully it will not reasemble being buried alive. [;)]
