Good morning all!

My mother sent me an email with the picture of the new dog that is tasked to cost the familys nerves for the next decade:

A lovley little boy!

Adorable... But then, few puppies aren't...[:)]

Historiker -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 8:31:31 AM)

Of course.
And the really bad thing is, I won't see him before christmas, I guess. So no more puppy then... [:(]

Historiker -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 8:33:47 AM)

Just looking into the manual:
Will AG have a special ability?

Great news, Torsten! Don't worry, he'll still be a puppy at Christmas time, just in a bigger body. [:D]

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 10:58:09 AM)

Up way too early this morning, but "Hockey Dad" duty calls.  [>:]

My condoleances on the time - I'll have "Soccer Uncle" duty in two hours, but that is at least in the afternoon. [:)]

You and millions of others, including me... Hate the stuff...

I like it in marguerita's and I only drink in moderation. I hate being drunk. I have only been that way twice in my life.

Oh, and my wife is working a 12 hour shift tomorrow, leaving me with lots of free time after the early morning hockey camp workout.

Is anyone interested in playing the Coral Sea scenario as a PBEM in one day tomorrow?  [8D]  I've played it once as the Allies vs. the AI.  I'll play either side.

I would but I have to do yard work and then a threadwar turn. I would like to try this one Saturday when we are both free. Keep me in mind.

Sounds good, Bruce. Since it's so small, I think it will be a fun scenario to play with very quick turnaround. Should be easy to get in in a few hours.

Last night, my girlfriend was riding her bicycle without a helmet and hit a wet patch. When she braked, she went right over the handlebars and smashed her head into a steel post. Her skull is fractured, her nose is broken, and she now has over a hundred stitches. She may have also fractured her orbitals. Her forehead was literally torn away from her skull in places. She's going to be okay, but her forehead will have a pretty impressive Harry Potter scar for probably the rest of her life.

This week. THIS WEEK! I really am at the end of my tether.

Wow, very sorry to hear that. I hope she heals quickly. Prayers go out to her.

There's never a penguin around when you need one.

He's apparently in Arkansas. [X(]

Only the climate and geography had kept them from spreading . . . not anymore.

The Ozarks are nice. But 'tho I am a West Tenn. flatlander myself I am partial to the Smokies.

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 4:47:44 PM)

Post run - Tithe. [&o]

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 4:48:16 PM)

I have a CHS turn to do, and then the rest of the day to play with AE.  [8D]

Historiker -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 4:55:55 PM)

And what about your wife?

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 4:58:46 PM)

My wife is working 12 hour shifts today and tomorrow.  She's earning our vacation in the Turks and Caicos for November.  [&o]

My son has had his hockey camp, we went out to breakfast afterward, he's now at the skateboard park and quite happy, I've finished my run and shower.  Life is good, Torsten!  [8D]

Historiker -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 5:02:24 PM)

Sounds great!
At least, I was mountainbikeing for about two hours. A little bit too short so I ask myself to go swimming or running now...

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 5:07:33 PM)

Only 15 months until Ironman Florida '10.  [;)]

Historiker -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/1/2009 5:10:17 PM)

I know, I know... [X(]

At least, I'll get new cycling shoes next weak. While they are immense expensive - 200 Euro - I hope they are stiff enough to ensure my foots won't hurt any more after just 70km. I will also test a new saddle to fix the problem with my seating pain as its caused by the pressure lasting on the arse-msucles for hours.
If both works, nothing can stop me to ride 600km per week [;)]

We got a couple fun minis out in Cali. I'm on the coast with guestrooms; c'mon out.

Swim is all I do well; thighs suck, so can't run worth a crap and don't bike worth a darn either, but second quartile of the B class ain't too bad. I gots 'night before so get yo ass to bed' and 4:30 pasta for a 9:00 am start.

Are you really one of those boggie till ya puke people? Damn, I snagged a couple of ya'll to do some cockpit grinding for some races, but boat racing is all upper body - lats, abs, bi's and tri's, with a bit of lower back to hike. Well, they had fun, scored more than nominal in Puerto Vallarta, but ... sigh ... left me, because their lower body was begining to atrophy. Sheesh. But am always looking for a another sucker ... er ... person interested in expanding their sports horizons.
