Couldn't get 1440x900 resolution going. Got other ones working: 1280x800, 1152x864 (no, that's not widescreen...).

There may be a problem with 1440x900, so many are having trouble with that.

jackyo123 -> RE: v1.101b Public Beta Now Available! (2/18/2010 1:48:27 AM)

never mind - just found it - wasnt easy to find though - might want to sticky the 'REGISTERED DOWNLOADS' and then click on WITP/AE in the product list in the initial post.

remember to type -px1440 -py0900

many forget the 0 in front of the 3-figure number

Jones944 -> RE: v1.101b Public Beta Now Available! (2/18/2010 2:11:47 AM)

I got 1280x800 to work, but I've found that at that resolution (native for my laptop screen) the mouse scrolling no longer works on the right or the bottom edges of the screen. Map scrolling when moving the mouse to the top or the left edge of the screen works as normal.

Something around detecting when the mouse is at the edge or bottom of a wide screen setup is missing.

Thank you for all the dedication and hard work folks! Making a great game even better is a challenging task that should not go unappreciated! [;)]

i feel like an idiot, but i cannot find the download.

i go to members area, and login. It shows a list of files, and the only one for WITP AE is an intro movie.

??

Read this:

You have to login with your username and password for the member's area (same as you used when you bought the game). Then, somewhere in the list, maybe on the right hand side of the page, select "Registered Downloads" and you should be able to find it from there (Maybe select AE after that).

There was some rationalization to the list as the problems were related.
40. Fixed - Change of ship (prev/next) in the ship lists is not setting global original repair values for that ship.

I tried your attached save and steps, and nothing went wrong.

Mike & Don, thanks for the quick replies, and glad to see this is fixed! [:)]

Hello Scott, whats up with your post ? I mean I dont see it (what you mean to say) and I am not in the mood to be a participant in a quiz show ...

Sardaukar -> RE: v1.101b Public Beta Now Available! (2/18/2010 11:42:54 AM)

I got -px1440 -py0900 work just fine as full screen. Probaly because it is the native resolution of my monitor.

Al Boone -> RE: v1.101b Public Beta Now Available! (2/18/2010 3:20:50 PM)

I worked for hours to implement the HD screen version. I finally got it to work on my Intel Core i7-860 64 bit system 7 machine by updating the drivers for my NIVIDA Geforce GTS 240 drivers. After this update everything worked fine. Since small scenes sometimes work best in standard screen rsolution I put 2 shortcuts to the Quickstart folder on my desktop. One shortcut without the command line -px1920 -py1200 for small map scenes and one with the higher screen resolution. My system 7 path to the Quickstart menu is c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\Start Menu\programs\War In The Pacific Admira'ls Edition . Right mouseclick and click properties and make changes in the target line, apply and things should work. It is important to use updated drivers and make changes in the Quckstart folder. This patch is wonderful. Thank you to the developers for everything you do.

Now - one suggestion: Can we have simultaneous 2nd key press held and combined with a left mouse click which when held lists the distance in hexes as the mouse is dragged to some other hex? Developer slaps head and mumbles "They are never satisfied!

Thanks that worked for me too! I thought the stupid windows7 would update graphics drivers automagically but no it did not. Anyways the game looks great on 52" 1920x1080! Thanks a lot for he patch! [:D]

Earlier in the Tech Support forum there was mention made of a bug whereby parts of units were lost when unloading at a base. My opponent cap_and_gown reported losing aviation support and perhaps more, I have seen it, and others reported it.

It was said to be fixed for Patch 3, but I can't find anything like it in the change list. Is it fixed in Patch 3 Beta?

Here's the thread:

And here is a quote:

I ran the save through the 'current' test build and it arrived with the full 10 and 30 support.
I think the last fix we introduced may correct a number of 'lost' fragment issues.

[Don't ask when it will be released as I don't know.]

I'm just wondering if it's included in this Patch, because I couldn't find it in the release notes.

Bump - Just checking if it made the cut because it wasn't found in the release notes.

Grotius -> RE: v1.101b Public Beta Now Available! (2/18/2010 11:49:11 PM)

I'm also curious about the disappearing-fragment issue -- is that fix part of this beta?

Like Oliver, I'm also curious what Scott's photos depict -- I can't read them clearly enough to understand the issue. My eyes are aging. :\

Sorry for the image, the one has an extra column in the industry tab to see if any part fails, instead of looking elsewhere , one can tell at a glance if your industry needs help. [8|] The other is in the troop loading section where you can look and see if you have enough troop or cargo capacity for the ships. [8|]

Call it bad luck I guess, but for the past 2 weeks of in-game time I hadn't lost an ASW ship to a sub. The patch is supposed to cut it down even more, yet I have lost 3 ASW ships in the last 4 days (Feb 42) to Jap subs after this patch. Not saying it isn't WAD, just sayin...

Thanks for Patch 03.

After "Withdrawalls" was corrected, some other mis-spelling are left.

[sm=00000116.gif] Huh, a couple of days away - then quick look over the board again, and again a patch!

Wow! And if I still have to write another 10,000 times - the developers, the game, the members of the forum are worth every penny.

Great Patch! Great improvements and fixes. [sm=happy0065.gif]

... I still miss my pink submarine.

Anyway, thank you! [sm=00000947.gif]

Asus laptop 17'' whit Intel GMA Native resolution 1440x900 works fine for me after upadte of drivers

[image]local://upfiles/28411/FF03FBD6E3D04EB58765AC67DFAA073B.jpg[/image]

I think lowest screen size what is supported is 16' becouse this have native resolutin 1366x800. Anything smaller support only 1zzz x 768. So if -py must be higher than 768 ...

Never, never expect WinDoze to do something that seems right. Always, always expect it to do nothing or something to screw up your system. [:@]
