ORIGINAL: Apollo11 How is "Modern Warfare 3" Kristian? How is realism in it (compared to what we know about "Battlefield 3")? It doesn't come out until tomorrow, but realism is not something we talk about in FPS's. I'm glad I didn't spring for BF3, though, with the horror stories of EA's gross mismanagement of it and their Steam clone, Origin. The BF3 movies are superb... graphics is stunning... their lighting video game engine is superb... on the other side the MW3 videos are not that stellar... BTW, even though it is 100% arcade the flying graphics in BF3 is really beautiful - rain, clouds... [:)] [X(] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLZlclsjRqA&hd=1 I'm tempted by BF3, but the whole Origin thing is putting me off. What is this "Origin thing" Martin? Il2 Cliffs of Dover videos are also stunning, but the game is unplayable all the same. Origin is EAs attempt at creating a Steam clone, with a bit of added spyware for good measure. They've now pulled all their new releases from Steam to go with Origin. I won't go NEAR it. Playing MW3 this morning. Yummers! Very true about "Il-2 Sturmovik - Cliffs of Dover" - but BF3 players are much much more contended than Sturmovik players... and in-game video in BF3 is, AFAIK, the real thing - if it stutters in game it will stutter in video as well... [;)] BTW, can you buy BF3 from store (i.e. on DVD) and avoid the on-line thing all-together? Leo "Apollo11"
