Just a standing invite to any of our brethern who might be passing through the "Big middle" , (AKA-Eastern Nebraska or Western Iowa) next weekend to a "Cassablanca" themed party this saturday. They've now pulled all their new releases from Steam to go with Origin. I won't go NEAR it. Playing MW3 this morning. Yummers!

Very true about "Il-2 Sturmovik - Cliffs of Dover" - but BF3 players are much much more contended than Sturmovik players... and in-game video in BF3 is, AFAIK, the real thing - if it stutters in game it will stutter in video as well... [;)] BTW, can you buy BF3 from store (i.e. on DVD) and avoid the on-line thing all-together? Leo "Apollo11"

Yep, EA has REALLY mishandled this. There were big connectivity problems right after release, which they attributed to "underestimating" user demand. Same thing happened for the last two BF shooters. Either they're THAT stupid, or THAT dickish. My money is on the latter.

My son has and loves BF3 and some of the older games of this type, but he plays on an xBox 360. I don't think he has any of the Steam/Origin issues you guys might be hearing about.
