herwin -> RE: June 19/20 (7/12/2011 4:08:32 PM)

My opponent accidentally sent me a replay for the upcoming turn (June 20) instead of the current turn (June 19). I didn't know you could do this. It seems to give the Japanese player the ability of testing out plans (assuming his opponent doesn't change anything). Is this the case?

Certainly not! The replay happens upon the IJ player getting back the Allied player's orders. If he has your password, I suppose he could (without looking at your dispositions) do a 'null orders' turn for you to see how his orders (sans yours) worked out.

I think this is accidental--perhaps he ran into a hole in the security mechanism. He forgot to send me the replay, had to generate it, and used the new turn rather than what I sent him. Although we have access to each other's passwords, I've found him very honorable.

herwin -> RE: June 19/20 (7/12/2011 11:45:54 PM)

I checked--not accidental, but I have no problem with it. He works on his economic strategy that way--after he's sent his move. And yes, we've exchanged passwords--it simplifies working with michaelm.
