Ok I'm having a problem for something that was supposedly fixed but it looks like there's another case that needs to be solved. I have an ambhib TF that is to unload at Iba & for some reason 2 HQ become fragments during the turn execution w/ the main part due in 40+ days even thought the entire unit was in the tf before it unloaded.

I have the same problem; after unload my AirHQ is divided in 2 fragments;
the fragment whit 'torpedo ordnance' has a delay of 52 days...my Betty needs torpedo![;)]

Hi, I report this problem once again, assuming that someone is interested

I would like to know when we finally get a fix for that bug. It is VERY annoying and can ruin a game especially in the start. Why canīt we get a hotfix for this, Michael ?
It happened now 4 (FOUR) times to me in my running game. I donīt want to use multiple taskforces because of the buggy torpedo support. I would like to get a fix for this
especially since you said it is already fixed for a future release. PLEASE.

I had this happen to me recently also. But I thought this might be WAD because I dropped the amphib corp HQ w/ the troops into the battle w/out an amphib force HQ present. So I considered the effect a penalty against the allies for not conducting a perfect coordinated amphib assault.

seille -> RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108r9 updated 21 January 2012 (2nd part) (6/27/2012 5:19:41 AM)

MichaelM already confirmed this is a bug which will be fixed with next patch. The question is when this will be.
I already screwed 4 HQīs this way, so i would like to get a fix for this as fast as possible.

Saros -> RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108r9 updated 21 January 2012 (2nd part) (7/12/2012 2:46:00 AM)

It only happens when the AIRHQ is part of an amphibious assault right? I was under that impression from another thread that you can workaround by dropping the HQ off after the base is taken.

seille -> RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108r9 updated 21 January 2012 (2nd part) (7/12/2012 6:19:41 AM)

Yes, that seem to be the case.

Warning, do not drop a corp hq in an amphib, a fragment will occur.

I apologize at the bluntness of my statement. I understand a fix is on the next beta.

Had this occur on my 14th Army HQ as I was trying to take over the Philippines. I was not in combat at the time but, I did have the fleet as ampihbious. A sub attacked my fleet and even though the sub did not sink the leader fragment, the HQ was fragmented upon landing. 60 days I think it took to replace the Army HQ leader? I thought it a bit extreme considering it was such a small fragment of the entire army landed.

Hi Michael,

I'm just curious, is there any new patch for AE coming in the near future?

I LOVE the "Load Tenders" option on the ships screen. Absolutely awesome![&o][&o]

There is a side benefit from "Load Tenders" that might be considered gamey by some ...

1. Take an AGP (PT-boat tender) and some PT boats, and park them in some dinky port that happens to have some supplies.
2. Use "Load Tenders"; the AGP load some supplies.
3. Next turn, form the PT TF, and your PT boats are at 100% torpedo strength. Nice! (or maybe gamey).

Sounds right to me, in logistic terms. The tender carried torpedoes to the location. I would prefer torpedoes were tracked as
a kind of supply, by model number - but they are not. This is a reasonable approximation.

A request, not sure if it's been asked for or not, but how about on either the HQ unit screen or from the base listing screen a way to sort/show the command that the base is attached to that way you could see all the bases under that command allowing you a quick way to find a base you might want to consider changing it's hq of???

michaelm75au -> RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108p3 updated 10 July (2nd part) (8/4/2012 9:37:12 AM)

Doesn't this already allow you to see all bases under the command?

bigred -> RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108p3 updated 10 July (2nd part) (8/25/2012 5:27:52 AM)

I suspect this is already talked about. I have just received my fragmented Pac ocean HQ as a reinforement at San fran. On arrival it is hard coded to west coast. the Pac ocean frag at Tab is changed to restricted but has re assumed the parent position. Ignore the screenie of the 3rd marine div for this post. All units of the pac ocean are now restricted in place on the map.

FatR -> RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108p3 updated 10 July (2nd part) (9/5/2012 1:24:04 PM)

I have a couple of problems in my game, and wonder whether they are bugs or I'm doing something wrong:

1)Fighters and fighter-bombers set to naval strike/kamikaze missions are sortying without bombs for two turns in a row. I've tried setting them at 1000 and 2000 feet, but the result remains the same, no bombs.

2)Most of my transport planes set to carry troops to Sinabang repeatedly switch to hauling supplies for no clear reason.

Take a look at the attached turn, please.

michaelm75au -> RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108p3 updated 10 July (2nd part) (9/8/2012 1:55:31 AM)

1) The Drop Tank XT is cancelling the Bomb XT.
If you turn off 'using drop tanks', the external bombs will appear.
Or the aircraft data for the scenario should have the 'DT ordnance' check box ticked to allow both to be used at same time.

michaelm75au -> RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108p3 updated 10 July (2nd part) (9/8/2012 2:09:08 AM)

2) The devices being air-transported may be too big. Troop transport reverts to Supply if it can't move anything.
Non-squad, non-engineer devices with load cost >9 can't be transported to a base (and cost >7 can't be dropped).

Thanks, can I ask to clarify if I understand this rule correctly, using examples?

SBD-5 Dauntless (a bomb in the "External" slot) will not carry any bombload if drop tanks are selected.

SBD-6 Dauntless (a bomb in the "Centre-line" slot) will carry its bombload if drop tanks are selected.

SB2C Helldiver will carry its 1000-lb bomb in the "Internal" slot, but not 2x250-lb bombs in the "External" slots, if drop tanks are selected.

Is that right?
