EDIT: Oh-kay, guess I can't embed videos here. Or is it a different protocol?

Well, here's the link.

Haven't for a while, Leo. It has one big issue that I don't like, in that it's almost impossible to reach anything close to historical scoring.

I had decided to stop looking for a job this month. Really burned out. I got an email then phone call from a company that's interested. Pay a little on the low side, but they're definitely interested. Round 2 on Monday. Wow!

Boo-ya, Mike-san.

Be sure to ask them their policy on Monday and Friday absenteeism and AE on the job, dude.

First question on my list,CB. [:D]

Take what you can get. I settled for less. But I'm in the door. There's always another opportunity in the future.

That's a great philosophy.

turkey trots to water...snow/ice storms in Seattle - where is Nik? the world wonders...

(hope you're safe, Nikster...and any other Nor Wester bretheren up there...)

Nik is fine, I talked to him yesterday. On Thursday this place didn't look like Seattle in January it looked like northern New York in January. There was over a foot of snow on the ground. This place has less snow removal equipment than my hometown of 12,000 people. It was ugly. Today this place looks like northern New York in late March. Ugly black snow banks on the side of the road still some slush. Its just Blaaaach..........

BrucePowers -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (1/22/2012 3:33:16 AM)

So, Mike you are not going to see some exotic places in the near future?

Ahhh... [:(]

I wanted to ask you about it because I got one idea of simplified U-Boat simulation for upcoming Gary's games...

RGR - will do - but it is no pressing matter (i.e. future future idea / project)...

Leo "Apollo11"

Terminus -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (1/22/2012 11:23:12 AM)

The problem in Steel Wolves is that in order to reach historical scores, you have to split your attacks on convoys to the point where it's nearly impossible to sink ships.

If I'm still in the Guard, I'm heading to Kuwait Spring of next year. We'll see what the future holds. I can retire at any time.

Check this out - plotted course (including speed) of "Costa Concordia" - watch using 720p HD option for best detail!

Interesting-thanks for sharing, Leo.

It's nice to have visual evidence confirming my previous statement-what a dumbass!

Yep... very interesting GPS track...

BTW, here is picture derived from the GPS track (of the video that I posted link above) - God only knows whet they tried to accomplish with the maneuvering after collision... [X(]

Hi all,

We have EU accession referendum today...

Leo "Apollo11"

Please note my 'arms distance' phrasing of this political question, Leo. I don't want to start a political discussion, BUT...

Is the referendum expected to be a close one, or is the vast majority siding one way or the other?

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (1/22/2012 3:58:44 PM)

And now, I'm awake again.  Time for some breakfast.  [:)]

We shall see but all pols so far (dating years back) indicate strong "YES" by big majority...
