But if I count back 24 hours then I will be looking at yesterday's time. I need the time now.

warspite1 -> RE: Do you have the time? (1/26/2012 11:37:12 PM)

Sorry, at the third stroke it will be 23:36pm precisely beep beep beep.

Oh hells bells(AC/DC) are you saying it is now 23:45pm beep beep and more than that??

warspite1 -> RE: Do you have the time? (1/27/2012 12:01:47 AM)

Steiner are you pulling my chain? This is your last chance: at the third stroke it will be 00:00 precisely beep beep beep. Why don't you simply get a flipping watch?

Terminus -> RE: Do you have the time? (1/27/2012 12:45:05 AM)

Erm, "warspite1"? He's doing it to boost his post count past 1000.

Warspite1

Erm Terminus, Yes i know, the biggest clue was probably in the thread "1000 posts help - 12 year anniversary" and Steiner's request for people to assist him in that regard. I didn't actually think he wanted to know the time anymore than I believed peanut brittle was used in the making of the atomic bomb.........

Anyway, Steiner, if you need to know, at the third stroke the time will be 06:51 hours beep beep beep

Good morning warspite1. You don't really want to know the historic uses of peanut brittle, I am sad.

I am confused about you saying it is 06:51 hours beep beep. I have 06:22 beep beep. [:D]

planner 3 -> RE: Do you have the time? (1/27/2012 5:12:35 PM)

Parusski it is now exactly 26:06 GMT....

vonRocko -> RE: Do you have the time? (1/27/2012 5:30:59 PM)

12:29 and 34sec....no...35 sec...make that 36 sec...ah forget it!

You mean Beep Beep Beep - its at the third stroke, not the second.

Yeah, I meant Beep Beep Beep.

But NO ONE has given me the correct time yet. [&:]

Orm -> RE: Do you have the time? (1/27/2012 10:18:47 PM)

Since time moves from the past to the future in sequence events with intervals between them that quantify a change in objects in the space-time continuum the current time is the present interval between those moments. In order to define that moment on a time scale one had to quantify the rate at with those object travel. One object that could be used to quantify the change is one grain of sand. In my present location that grain of sand is affected by gravity and therefore moves at a certain speed unless it is affected by another force than gravity. And if I drop one grain of sand, that is only affected by gravity, after another at an even rate then that could be used as a method to measure the passing of the time. Therefore follows that the current time is a interval between two grain of sand falls.

In short. The current time is after a grain of sand falls.

Orm, that is very impressive(no sarcasm) and interesting.

But I have no sand. Any further suggestions?

Good one, had to think about it for a few seconds,

Then what do you have time for? Reading Stephen Ambrose's "Peanut Brittle-The Definitive Account"??

Fun fact:Peanut Brittle was discovered accidentally when an Egyptian, Paharoh(NO RELATION), was making Maḥshi ḥamām(pigeon stuffed with rice). Go figure.

Actually Ambrose missed that fact. It was written about extensively by Tacitus, in his little know classic "The Most Important Discoveries in History"!!

planner 3 -> RE: Do you have the time? (1/27/2012 10:52:53 PM)

Hell you had the "correct time" all the time, correct spelling is T-I-M-E therfore you had the correct time.

That creative attempt earns you 1 cup of peanut brittle. Please email warspite1 or Terminus your mailing address and they will send you what you deserve.
