A little mop-up action in North Borneo. Only a couple more remnants to chase down and destroy.

larryfulkerson -> RE: 31Jan42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/17/2012 2:36:32 AM)

It seems as though I landed at Loemadjang with a tad too few troops. A second installment of troops might be in order here.

larryfulkerson -> RE: 31Jan42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/17/2012 2:41:07 AM)

Another attack like this one and the Allies will probably drive the Japs out of Port Moresby. D'oh.

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 9:48:00 PM)

Okie dokie.....it's Tuesday 18Sep2012 13:47 and I've received Jim's moves so here's the latest combat results:

Here's some Tracker alerts. Notice the sunk DMS ships.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/F910EC320C3C4F3F88F1CF5FE87BC558.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 9:52:52 PM)

Here's the latest Tracker economics chart. The number of oil refineries producing is less this time because I've turned off the refineries
at Palembang, Balikpapan, and Miri because Palembang was getting into the fuel spoilage and the other two were getting close. Just as
soon as I can ship some of that fuel out of there I'm going to turn them back on again.

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 9:58:19 PM)

Here's a report on the spoilage places:

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:11:30 PM)

DMS-10 is having a rough day. I'm not surprised that it sunk.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/2CC4FB89A0ED4369B2F9B27641B05567.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:15:15 PM)

My DD's hung around to finish off the stragglers from yesterday's ambush. I think that takes care of that Allied TF.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/B6D4ECB4A45549368D96637FA3AF72E9.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:20:42 PM)

This is the first of two night naval bombardments.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/8EDF8D44F1D1442CB5FA140C26150158.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:23:47 PM)

This is the second of two night naval bombardments. This one puts the cap on the damage the first one did.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/7B6F10FBAB0C44F0A08D398BD86D9C7B.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:27:56 PM)

This is surely a surprise. I had no idea that I could hit his sub hunters. NOT.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/FB2D12972B5A48B1B25ED8E324C881AD.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:36:05 PM)

There was a mis-communication somewhere. Those DMS ships weren't supposed to go in alone. I had some surface ships to go with
them. I thought. I guess I had a brain fart and the surface ships were given a different task entirely. Ooops.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/4D2994CEBC934BADA1A4B5343A7371AD.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:39:04 PM)

And here's an Allied sub finishing off the straggler. That about wraps it up for that TF.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/055121B811484D46A2AA13F4DB621775.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:43:11 PM)

Here's an action from Operation SKIDDING CAR Two where the goal is to eliminate the Allied squadron operating there. In this action
I managed to re-damage an already damaged SB-3. Hurray for our side.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/04C0BB2DCB624DA59275CC44B794D2CC.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:46:29 PM)

Operation BEAT DOWN continues at Manila. Only six more months of this and the Allies will surrender. Probably.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/869E71AB70124400ADD2E5CF9ECFF144.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:49:39 PM)

I predict that following this attack there will be a B-17 raid and a shock attack by the Allies.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/F7DEED074D874FA29F7B722FC5F90B8B.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:54:34 PM)

I've got some ground units headed for Clark Field even as we speak. I expect some major resistance when they get there. It seems Jim
has moved the major proportion of his forces onto Clark Field and has left a skeleton force at Bataan. I'm toying with the idea of moving
on Bataan and clearing the mine field so as to allow the ships in to Manila harbour to do some ship-to-shore bombardment and leaving
Clark Field till last. It might work. Maybe.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/1D30DF507BEC4F49A0E4DD62CC56E59D.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 10:57:41 PM)

Jim's AVG group is shooting down my Lilly's. I'll have to look into the possibility of moving some Oscar's in for escorts or something.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/E6CFB5C9C3B043369B67A1CFE5A451F7.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:00:05 PM)

Jim is still treating the P-40's of the AVG as if they were bombers. And at 100' no less.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/51AA6D350A94462681561E23D3F9B061.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:03:03 PM)

Here's the daily B-17 raid, again against Port Moresby. These raids are almost mandatory now.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/BC6E9077ABAE407ABADF8EF5CC02A440.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:06:28 PM)

I'm hoping to finish off the 22nd Indian Brigade before Jim can get it into Singapore, hence the daily air attacks to slow it down.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/84C76936920E43918E315720AA9463FC.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:09:27 PM)

It appears that Jim is trying to slow down my guys and probably for because he's hoping to get the 22nd Ind Bge into Singers.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/D8BEE8E398BE49B88B933781E10F3051.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:12:31 PM)

Despite the two hits, I-18 is still good to go at Midway. So she will hang around some more.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/F5DE19EBD7BA4FE9A3F1C10FFB986365.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:18:23 PM)

Here I've grouped all the Port Moresby actions into one picture. I'm predicting that the shock attacks will continue and that Jim will try
to move some more ground troops into the hex to help out. I'm putting a ground force together even as we speak. I just don't know if
I can get it there before HIS troops arrive.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/463B5B6DB3FA4693A4CFBF9DB1464C11.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:24:21 PM)

Jim is counterattacking. He has moved some 114 tanks into Lingayen and has plans to re-take the base there. Probably.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/60FC9B3EE9CB41839008E11E285E5511.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:28:34 PM)

I'm going to have to drop back from "bombard" to "defend" because I'm running outta supplies at Cebu.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/E328899630424729A3E07919BCC93F20.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: 01Feb42 Moo v. Fulkerson (9/18/2012 11:32:19 PM)

Here's one attack that I didn't expect. Jim continues to surprise me from time to time. He'll probably do this attack again sometime.
