BORO(Matrix Recruit):US/Germany
vs
Birdgunner(Matrix Recruit):Canada/USSR

sztartur2 -> sign in (3/1/2003 10:56:22 PM)

Hi!

I would also join.

Countries:
USA,
USMC

Regards, Artur

PS: Maybe next time I will go: Hungary, Finnland

red -> (3/1/2003 11:24:12 PM)

sztartur(Matrix Recruit):USA/USMC is the last one to sign up. If there are no more entries today, this is the final day to sign up. Since sztartur is signing up while most first round games are already wrapping up or are well on the way, I will play sztartur for no credit, unless somebody else signs up before the day expires.

TheOverlord -> (3/1/2003 11:30:57 PM)

Hi Red!
Can I get in??

I missed the wc 'official' sign up peroid and was depressed, yet here is the salvation!! ;)

I just replied to Boro's thread in opponenets wanted, but now I see this and he already is matched up!

Thanks

TheOverlord

red -> (3/1/2003 11:38:22 PM)

Good deal, state your 2 countries and pm sztartur about it.

TheOverlord -> (3/1/2003 11:39:24 PM)

Ge of course!

Thanks

Gary Tatro -> Red (3/2/2003 12:15:44 AM)

I originally posted something here. But I found out something about SPWAW that I did not know. Imagine?

Shiner -> Posting game results WC03 (3/3/2003 8:52:46 AM)

World Cup 2003 Game Postings

Okay, after we finish our games where do we post the results to let folks know we are done?

ThomasBELL123 -> Who's next? (3/3/2003 9:02:51 AM)

1941 went to Mario Garza, a 12833 MArginal Victory to my 4558 Marginal Defeat. We are both ready for 1942.

Shiner -> Good Game Tom (3/3/2003 9:37:00 AM)

Tom,

Thank you for the challenging game. You were a worthy opponent.

Good Luck with the rest of the World Cup.

Mario "Shiner" Garza

ThomasBELL123 -> Same to You (3/3/2003 10:08:51 AM)

Thank You. You missed my 8 Pk's for reinforcement. Darn it.

ThomasBELL123 -> Next game? (3/3/2003 10:12:20 AM)

Red, are you picking the players or is it up to us?

Shiner -> WC03 (3/3/2003 10:27:25 AM)

I guess we have to wait till the other folks finish up their games.

Tom, if you get a chance send me the game results. I want to see how many men and tanks I ended up losing.

red -> (3/3/2003 11:42:12 AM)

Lets wait on setting up Round 2 until most of Round 1 games wrap up. I will randomly pick the matches.

ThomasBELL123 -> Red (3/3/2003 11:49:59 AM)

Roger, that.

rbrunsman -> (3/3/2003 12:22:28 PM)

Round One ends March 31st right? Are we giving one calendar month to finish each round?

red -> (3/3/2003 12:26:36 PM)

Round 1 finishes when the last game ends and hopefully that will happen a week or two from now, March 31st is too long for others to wait.

Brutto-Bob -> Battle 1 Final score (3/3/2003 5:01:41 PM)

Battle between me and Mogami is over:

Brutto-Bob (Germany) 9100
Mogami (Italy) 2661

Red, can you set a finish date - RB and myself were working towards 31st March!!!

red -> (3/3/2003 8:05:54 PM)

RobW, how much time do you need?

RobW -> (3/3/2003 8:32:04 PM)

Red, probably til the 21st ish - we are managing 1 turn each every 2 days excluding weekends (mainly due to different timezones) - of course that date is subject to me not having been beaten before then!

VonBlk -> (3/4/2003 1:30:51 AM)

Greetings My Warior Chums,

First off...No i did not read the entire thread...(14 pages)
so could you bear with me plz.
I'm new (bet ya would never guess)
I've not played SPWAW 7.1 as PBEM and I like the
Opponents registry idea but the page (link from game)
is error 404 to me.
Of what I've read in this post, sounds like fun (even for a newbie) Is the info on games in progress and opponet list posted I think I would like to join up (German) but don't know the rules...any help?
Give me a start point :)
I can play PBEM one turn a day no problem (after work)
Thanks,
Von

Rokondo -> Rokondo Victory on Red (3/4/2003 2:58:28 AM)

US 13,085 (Rokondo)

red -> The Dilemma (3/4/2003 6:59:20 AM)

Ok, I need some input from the players, on one side we have players who have finished or about to finish round 1 on the other hand we have players who due to busy schedule and timezones can't complete round 1 as fast, and then we still have ppl who want to sign up. I'd like to include as many players as we can, this is what this is about but at the same time we need to keep the game moving so let me know your thoughts.

rbrunsman -> (3/4/2003 7:17:34 AM)

If the first three rounds are a round robin sort of thing where you have to get 2 wins to move on, there is no reason one (i.e. me) couldn't play two games at once. As long as we keep the timing going like we are playing one round after another, those of us that are slow due to bad timezone matchups, can use the overlapping games to keep up with everyone else.

I hope that makes sense. I'm typing quickly so I can go home now and kick some more Russian ***!:D

VikingNo2 -> (3/4/2003 7:18:35 AM)

Buzzard went on vacation shotly after we started ( He is due back today ), I can continue this game but I can play anybody that needs matching up if some players need games.

red -> (3/4/2003 8:14:57 AM)

Ok then we'll have a rolling match up system so players will have opponents as they free up from the games till round 4.

Ironfist -> Multipal Games (3/4/2003 12:46:28 PM)

AAR Turn one Game one. American forces taking a beating. Aussem's map pick has his men retreating into my advancing armor. It's a slaughter
:D
Next game with me as Usa will be quite challenging. I had 60 men killed in a para drop on turn two. Sig-Auf1's and Flame tanks are holding the town. American Artillery still awsome. It may be their only saving option. American armor no match for the German 50mm.
Question: Should we try to play more than one game at a time to speed up round one? Our present game is 12 turns on turn 3. If so, I will arrange to begin the other games for this round.
PS: Are we supose to be playing live?
