Here's a T30 look at Burma now. I've only just now gotten all my units into positions on the front line. If Tom has one more unit
I'll be outflanked. And I think maybe I can hold here for a while. I don't have any units coming to the rescue besides two divisions
from Malaya that are on their way here now. But they won't be much help since they are tired and worn out.

Here's the Mongolia situation. There's a Chinese unit sitting on the bridge over the river into northern China so it's
looking like there's no bridge repair going to happen soon. And supply is so low in this area that my units are
going to be low budget for a while.

I drove my DD's up to the port and some Allied planes dissappeared in a bad intercept accident.

Here's another Jap assault of Port Moresby:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/18/2015 6:09:10 AM)

New turn. Here's what's happening on the border near Bangkok now. The Allies are pushing and shoving their way across
the river and I'm having trouble containing all of them.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/18/2015 3:22:37 PM)

Here's the same view in T33. The Allies are breaking out and pushing the Japs backward. There's one particularly strong
Allied division that is spearheading the whole thing and the Japs don't have anything comparable at hand. It's not looking
very good on this front.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/18/2015 6:10:35 PM)

Here's the situation in T34. It's just getting worse and worse. The Japs are going to have to pull back and get organized
for this assault. This is big. This is bigger than Singapore all of a sudden.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/18/2015 6:14:51 PM)

The front lines in south China are getting ragged. I'm gaining a hex here and there but it's mostly static.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/18/2015 6:19:05 PM)

Things are stalled near Manila also. I've introduced a tank unit and it gained a hex but now it's out of supply.

thomasharvey -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/18/2015 8:39:31 PM)

One more hex taken and the northern Japanese in Burma will be cut off against the river and in the bag for the allies. Allies on the march!

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/19/2015 1:37:20 AM)

Here's how the Burma invasion has developed now. The northern group is out of supply and looks to be doomed. This is a
game changer.

Here's what it looks like in T36. The Allies really ARE on the march.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/19/2015 3:32:58 AM)

South China looks pretty much the same the last couple of turns. Fighting is still going on and the Japs are pushing and
shoving but there's not much movement going on lately.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/19/2015 3:41:34 AM)

Things are happening in North China. I've repaired a bridge over the river but the Chinese are blocking access. My boys are
way too tired and worn out to attempt to push onto the busted bridge to fix it. In other words, north China is still inaccessable.

This is the face of Borneo now. I've just now evacuated Kuching via sea and landed the land contingent at Brunei to try to
hold onto my foothold on the island.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/19/2015 4:15:45 AM)

I just noticed a potential disaster. An Allied column is marching toward the river in an area where I have no Jap troops. This
theatens Hanoi and eventually Saigon. Not good. And there's no Japanese reserve to draw troops from.

Here's the result of an assault on Singapore. It went nowhere.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/19/2015 8:23:48 AM)

Okie dokie, new turn. I dropped some paratroops in the path of the invading Allied column. It's not much and it won't contain
anybody very long so I still have a problem in that area.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/19/2015 7:13:48 PM)

Here's the situation in T38. I've managed to salvage some units and form a front line of sorts. It's not going to hold very long
and then there's the incursion near the paratroops that will only get worse. Tom is doing a good job.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/20/2015 5:51:03 AM)

New Turn, new moves. Here's the situation now. Tom is breaking out and defeating my Japs.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/20/2015 6:00:49 PM)

Here's the situation in T43. The lines are relatively stable now. Not much pushing and shoving going on now.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/21/2015 2:19:29 AM)

For the past couple of turns Tom and I have been fighting over Leyte. I've already sunk a couple of his ships and the AAA
unit is down to 44% readiness and I'm pretty sure the city is going to fall soon.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/21/2015 2:59:14 AM)

I'm still losing more planes than the Allies are in my airfield attacks. I'm going to have to quit doing that.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/21/2015 3:05:39 AM)

I discovered a CVE in the stack of Allied ships and went after it with a vengence. Got two CV's from this strike.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/21/2015 9:59:22 AM)

Leyte fell. Now the Allies are introducing troops into PI and I'm dealing with more than I can chew as it is. This doesn't look good.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/22/2015 1:44:34 AM)

Thomas decided that the AAA leatheality level ( how do you spell that ? ) was too low and he wanted to do a few tests to find
a better number and do a re-start. And this time Tom is going to handle the Japs. He's an expert at this scenario and so I'm
excited to get started on the new game. Stay tuned.

EDIT: Okie dokie I've received some moves from Tom and true to his form he's made landings all over the Pacific and the
Pearl Strike went swimmingly for him. The playback seems to have a tiny problem in that any unit that gets killed at any
point in the replay is invisible for the duration of the entire replay. D'oh.

At any rate Tom made some landings on the west side of Malaya and the Phillippines and on New Guinea and Borneo. Or is it
the Celebes. As you can see in the image there are red dots springing up in the South Pacific. Tom tells me he devestated the
shock level for the Allies so that the correct number of ships would be disabled in the Pearl Strike and that shock level will be in
effect for a couple of turns so I probably shouldn't do any attacking until the shock level improves.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/22/2015 9:57:45 AM)

All the Chinese units are in some kind of garrison mode and I can't move or attack with them. And these early turns are
relatively important to get the units in good positions. There must be a good reason for this however, we'll have to ask
Tom about this.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/22/2015 10:04:06 AM)

It appears that the British and Indian units are in garrison mode also. D'oh.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/22/2015 10:09:38 AM)

As a surprise I found some Jap paratroops near Java. I'm not sure where he's going next but with his air mobility he can go almost
anywhere from where he is now.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (1/22/2015 10:14:54 AM)

Here's the worst part of all: The American ships are also in some kind of garrison mode. I can't chase the Japs this way.
