Here's some of the Japanese aircraft production rates. That Zero is 51 per turn. Whoa.

Okie dokie.......I've received T62's Jap moves from Thomas and the first thing I watched in the replay was Tom moving a bunch of
stuff toward India. I think I found it. Three divisions and three regiments introduced to the Bangkok area. He may be planning on
invading Rangoon again. We'll see.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/5/2015 7:01:27 PM)

I've got only one BB and it used to be in the shipyard healing from the Pearl Strike. Now it's gained it's moxie back to 80%
already and I'm thinking it's usable in it's current state. Expected reinforcements say that there's more ships coming in future
turns. I've got 1 BB and 4 DD ship units. About 12 DD's I guess.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/5/2015 7:05:24 PM)

I found a formation of CW ships in which there appears to be 2 CV's to appear between T109 and T113 or so. That's a good thing
but it's kind of far away. I hope I don't need them before then.

Okie dokie.......I've received some new moves from Thomas and I'll be dad gum if he didn't invade at Calcutta and capture the place.
He use some sea-borne forces and some paratroops and took over. I'm cut off from my supply lines and it's looking grim.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/5/2015 9:36:42 PM)

Here's a close-up of the Calcutta area now. The paratroopers grabbed the airfields and the sea-borne invasion invaded at
Calcutta itself. The Jap DD's have split up along the coast to interdict any cavalry coming to the rescue. There's two divisions
of Japs at Calcutta so I'll need at least that much to dislodge them. I'm not sure that much is available but maybe I can find a
handful of smaller units from somewhere. Tired Chinese pile or somewhere.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/5/2015 9:43:26 PM)

This image illustrates the drastic drop off in supply because of the Jap invasion. The supply level is only as high as it is because
of Rangoon I suspect. There may be a residual amount coming across the mountains in northern Burma but I doubt it. I may have
to pull the Chinese into India.

EDIT: Yeah, I checked just now and Rangoon IS a supply source. Thomas needs to invade there as well.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/5/2015 9:50:05 PM)

Here's the supply level in China. No supply. That's ominous and unsettling. And inconvienent I'm thinking I'm going to have to pull
the Chinese troops back toward India at the very least. Maybe into India itself.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/5/2015 10:13:53 PM)

It's probably going to do no good at all but I'm going to send 48 B-26's crews to their death in an attempt to sink a Jap carrier.
At least I think there may be a carrier in that group. The top icon seems to indicate CV. I'm going to treat it that way.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/5/2015 10:21:38 PM)

Remind me to send some submarines to that spot to pick up the downed crewmembers. If there are any.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/6/2015 1:01:20 AM)

Here's a T65 look at the Calcutta area now. There's a blown bridge that prevents me getting any reinforcements into the city itself
and I could only find some Communist Chinese troops handy to man the lines and that's not going to hold anything back for very
long. It looks like it's curtains for India. Curtains is the call-out for the page boy to pull the curtains closed at the end of the play.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/6/2015 1:04:35 AM)

Here's what's going on in China: I'm shortening the lines and pulling the troops back and fighting a retiring kind of fight. The Japs
are encouraging my movements with attacks. Remind me to thank Thomas.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/6/2015 4:30:14 AM)

New moves from Thomas, new turn. So the Japs are branching out and spreading out and moving out and tearing up all kinds of
railroad. That will give my engineers something to do on their off-day.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/6/2015 6:52:04 AM)

Here's the T68 face of India now. It looks like everybody is hanging out in the south of the river area. And at least one unit is
headed south for the coastal road and rail. Mostly tearing up the rail. India is being plunged back into the stone age.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/6/2015 7:41:47 AM)

Here's another air strike on Lae. I'm always losing more than the Japs are. But Thomas tells me this is the thing to do.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/6/2015 8:14:43 PM)

I've finally got two carriers. With those two carriers I can start taking back some islands.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/6/2015 11:26:50 PM)

Here's a T70 look at Burma now. I'm still in the process of pulling people from China into India but it's a slow process and the units
are still in motion and Thomas has been sailing more and more units into the area and has formed a front line and is pushing and
shoving and spreading out gaining hexes.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/7/2015 12:03:08 AM)

I was moving the Essex group straight south from Pearl headed for that lonely island by itself near the east edge of the map, I forget
the name right now. And I got interdicted and lost one of the CV's and a bunch of planes. D'oh.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/7/2015 2:31:33 AM)

As you can see the supply level has collapsed completely and those troops need to leave ASAP. All of China is uninhabitable.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/7/2015 4:55:42 AM)

Here's what's happening in T72: The Japanese are continuing to take over more and more of India.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/7/2015 7:30:03 AM)

New moves from Thomas, new turn. Thomas is really cleaning up and taking names.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/7/2015 7:40:07 PM)

Okie dokie.......new moves from Thomas. Here's what's happening in Burma right now. The supply level went to 0 and my units got
weakened and Thomas opened fire and leaped across the river and is swamping my units. The mop-up will start shortly.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/7/2015 8:46:06 PM)

But on the other hand there's good news. I finally got my first batch of P-38's at Pearl. So I need to fly them to Australia as soon as I
can get them there. I've heard good things about that plane. We'll see.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/A9C491DBF6C548C095391D2893C1B258.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/7/2015 8:53:27 PM)

Um.........I flew the P-38's out to Samoa and discovered to my delight that the range of those bad boys includes a couple of Jap bases.
That's Jim Dandy. I think maybe that the P-38's could reach Lae from Townsville. That would be megaCool.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/8C16A56A940C40E3B5CC6898842D56A5.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/7/2015 9:04:28 PM)

And some more good news.......I found a P-47 squadron at Pearl. It's got a little better defensive value than the P-38 but both
excell at offensive operations. I'm a little bit offset in my gushing pride by the very limited range of the P-47. A range of 7 hexes
makes the P-47 good only over land operations, like China or New Guinea. But the P-38 can reach out and touch someone night
and day.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/8/2015 5:00:25 AM)

Here's some of my losses so far:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/8/2015 12:14:36 PM)

Okie dokie........new moves from Thomas, new turn. I received the Yorktown II CV as a reinforcement. I'm going to use it to sink
Tom's duplicate CV there near Pearl.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/8/2015 2:57:56 PM)

New turn, new moves from Thomas. In T80 I've received my first Corsair aircraft. It's just the first of many. It's one of the better
fighters. Can keep up with the Zero better than just about anything.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/8/2015 6:54:58 PM)

new moves from Thomas. These turns are going really fast because there's not much to do during the turn. There's not a whole lot
going on in the CBI area and the Pacific is calm so far.......I'm gaining ships to make some TF's that can be self supporting.

[image]local://upfiles/16287/2A9718690DC149148E5BBADC0D35994C.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: Playtest of Pacific at War 3 25 14 (2/8/2015 7:00:33 PM)

This is the turn where I receive the CV Bunker Hill. It's got the best planes too. And lots of them. We're almost ready to take on some
of the Jap ships of war. I'm thinking of trying to take back the middle islands. The middle islands: Midway, Wake, Etc.
