Its Super Bowl Sunday. There was a $1,100,000 bet wagered at a Las Vegas Casino for Atlanta Falcons to win.

Do you know what odds they got on the bet?

Zap -> RE: Las Vegas as it grows. (2/6/2017 12:54:53 AM)

No, if Atlanta wins the papers here will probably publish how much he won.

Lecivius -> RE: Las Vegas as it grows. (2/6/2017 5:03:02 PM)

I bet that hurt [:D]

Zap -> RE: Las Vegas as it grows. (2/7/2017 7:46:56 AM)

Even for a seasoned gambler with a lot of money it would still hurt.[:)]

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS With NFL voting approval of Oakland Raiders move to Las Vegas that makes the second Professional team Las Vegas will host. It will not happen until, maybe, 2020. Plan approval and other local government procedures have to be followed. And then the stadium to be built at a cost of 1.9 billion dollars.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but alot can happen til 2020, many plans and procedures to complete, for your sake I hope it goes through. I feel bad for the Oakland fans, they always supported the Raiders. If Al Davis was still alive, Lord knows what would happen...Al would sell his soul to the Devil!

The Politics of it all can be an evil thing.

I dislike the movement of teams. But even more so I dislike closed leagues. And the idea of a sports franchise in Sweden is repugnant to me.

But with that said I do not mind it if it works for you guys.

Look at the bright side: they are not getting the idiotic tribalism and hooliganism that pervades city/region-based football all over Europe.

It has to be the frontier mentality. Today I'm here, tomorrow I will be there. Always on the move.

So that is new in Vegas?

Orm -> RE: Las Vegas as it grows. (6/24/2017 6:19:57 PM)

Anyone has any thoughts about the Golden Knights?

Is the team well balanced? Will it be able to perform from the get go of the season? Who is currently the star of the team?

As I understand it, Vegas bookies cannot take bets on any team from Nevada. Imagine how much money they'll lose if a Vegas team reaches the finals, in any sport.

We have two from Sweden
Oscar Lindberg from Skelleftea
William Karlsson from Marsta

Do you know anything about them?

I'm not so sure about that. Up to this point all professional hockey games can be bet on in all the Casino's Sportsbook. I haven't heard that and I live here.I will inform myself if that's so.

Betting on the team in Las Vegas is permitted. The only restriction is no betting advertisement allowed nor Kiosk for betting at the Stadium w here they play. The odds Las Vegas Golden Knights to win the Stanley Cup stands at 150 to 1. In other words, the Sportsbook people think its close to impossible.

It is close to impossible for most teams to win the cup. So how much tougher must it be for a newly assembled team?

I suspect that the odds deserve to be even greater, but at the same time I suspect that there are plenty who bet on the Knights, so I am pretty sure that Sportsbook people nailed the odds perfectly.

Zap -> RE: Las Vegas as it grows. (6/30/2017 8:51:40 PM)

If you were here and placed a bet on them (lets say $100.00) and they won you would earn yourself 150,000 US dollars. Well, though they have players there will still be a selection process through practices sessions and I imagine some of them will be let go. Can they meld as a Team in the short time they have to prepare before the first season game? I mentioned above we have to Sweds. Do you know those players in Sweden?

No, not well enough to have an opinion that has any worth.

I've seen them play a few times but that is all.

Odds have changed drastically from my last post. If you choose Mcgregor you have 10 to 1 odds.. Casinos are protecting themselves. Most money coming in is going to Mcgregor
