Then, my complacency bites me again, as out west of Canada the Allies have been prowling for a supply convoy returning to Alaska. My, but Jocke builds nice combat task forces. Night Time Surface Combat, near Alliford Bay at 194,54, Range 4,000 Yards Japanese Ships DMS W-2, Shell hits 5, on fire DMS W-20, Shell hits 10, heavy fires, heavy damage AK Sakura Maru, Shell hits 6, Torpedo hits 2, and is sunk xAK Alaska Maru, Shell hits 6 xAK Bordeaux Maru, Shell hits 9, Torpedo hits 1, and is sunk PB Nishimi Maru, Shell hits 38, and is sunk PB Shinko Maru, Shell hits 2 PB Fukkai Maru, Shell hits 16, heavy fires, heavy damage PB Ryuto Maru, Shell hits 2 PB Ichiyu Maru, Shell hits 1 E Uruyame, Shell hits 5 Allied Ships CL Raleigh CL Detroit DD Phelps DD Farragut DD Aylwin DD Monaghan DD Worden DD Allen DD Litchfield DD Ward DD Chew DD Crosby Poor visibility due to Rain with 14% moonlight Maximum visibility in Rain and 14% moonlight: 3,000 yards Range closes to 24,000 yards... Then, my bombing campaign of the US has drawn the ire of the locals, and they sweep and sweep and sweep. No lightnings today, so I suspect I can see them tomorrow. Interestingly, Jocke didn't just sweep at 20K, some came in at 15. Plus I think there was a strong LRCAP presence too. The results show the A6M2 is getting long in the tooth. My CAP was at 9,10, 12, and 14K feet. Nothing at 20K. Pretty interesting results eh? You can tell by the losses what he swept me with.
