The 9th Guards Cav Corp plunges deep behind the German lines. Unmolested.

They stop . They think: 1. are they even allowed to think 2. Which way to go?

The northern Offensive commences in 1/2 hour. Tic toc what to do.

Since 9th Gds Cav cannot establish a further ZOC to the north, and any retreating unit from a northern attack will retain it's ZOC, it seems highly unlikely you can close this. The only possibility I see is displace the 6=9 divisions without use of the guards cav division with movement 18. If that division could move into that hex with a win plus one more hex south, you could close the pocket then. With blizzard over next turn, it pains me to say your best bet is not to press your luck, unless you consider a guards cav corps dispensable.

And prior battle orders must be executed first before my runner, with movement order, reaches the Breakthru Cav Corp

you divide up the Cav Corp and separate to cause German retreats to open lane to hopefully close the pocket.
Some air units routed, maybe an hq

AND THEN the northern pincer weekly offensive begins
