Jack -> Panzer Leo and H2H (6/2/2003 1:29:03 AM)

I have not started any PBEM games. When will the new H2H patch be ready? Thanks again for the great effort.

Panzer Leo -> Ready !!! (6/2/2003 5:26:23 AM)

Well, I think I kept you waiting long enough now...to make it short:

H2H fr (final release) is ready for shipping !!!

I contacted Paul from the Blitz and will send the baby over to him as soon as I can...give Paul a bit time to sort things out and to put up the download page and then we're ready to go :)

Belisarius -> (6/2/2003 5:41:27 AM)

LEO, you ARE THE MAN! :D

To volountarily put down so much of your time and effort... I'm deeply in awe. Impressive.

We owe you a huuuuge thankyou cake :)

Jack -> (6/2/2003 5:58:43 AM)

Yes thank you, that is for sure. This will be availbable on your web site?

tracer -> (6/2/2003 12:55:19 PM)

Thanks PL! Did I read somewhere that you were thinking of including all of the monthly H2H scenarios (from the Dirty Dozen site) in the patch?

sztartur2 -> Hurray! (6/2/2003 1:01:40 PM)

Mouse and keyboard prepared for download...

Great job Panzer Leo!

And don't forget to scedule the next release :D.

Artur.

sandman20 -> (6/2/2003 1:12:10 PM)

A long waiting will be end soon:D

I took all H2H scenarios I could find and also a whole bunch of maps I used in PBEMs (these are ready-to-go maps) or downloaded on things like the map contest...

Scenarios are over 100 in the new version...

Gallo Rojo -> 3 Hurras for LEO!!! (6/3/2003 3:07:08 AM)

Gallo Rojo -> (6/3/2003 3:08:16 AM)

m10bob -> (6/4/2003 6:14:20 AM)

IMHO it's the best version,for H2H *or* solo against the AI.!!!..
When will it be posted?????...:)

Akmatov -> Where oh where is it hiding? (6/4/2003 11:04:22 PM)

Having waited patiently am now excited to know the latest, greatest version of the PzLeo H2H is out there to be swooped upon, but where oh where is it hidden? :(

We pant, we drool! :D

Yeah, yeah I'm not getting out much lately. ;)

tracer -> (6/4/2003 11:20:33 PM)

PL mentioned that the patch is very large (what with all the added graphics, maps & scenarios), so his sending it to The Blitz site (via modem), and then having them prepare it for download, is no small task. I'm anxious too...and my first sentence is what I keep repeating to myself! :D

Panzer Leo -> (6/5/2003 4:38:56 AM)

Hi Guys !

I still got no solution from the Blitz where to upload the baby. I just need a FTP server that can take 70MB (I got high speed connection, so a matter of minutes)...if someone has one running and is willing to help out, I would put it onto the FTP and someone from the Blitz could download it...

just a thought to speed things up...

tracer -> (6/5/2003 6:24:30 AM)

J,
Here's a few ideas:
• use WinRAR to break it into email-able pieces.
  • use a file sharing program like WinMX
  • Use an instant messanger client like ICQ or AOL-IM (many have file-sharing ability)
Best I can come up with.

    The 70MB is a .rar compressed file...to split it into 5MB packages would make 14 indivdual fragments :eek:

    The whole thingy is actually 250MB :D

    I really hope someone has an FTP running or The Blitz establishes one - that would ease up things a lot...

  • Panzer Leo -> (6/5/2003 1:28:19 PM)

    Got it now !

    A very kind person donated a way to bring it over to the Blitz...maybe he wants to stay incognito, so I don't mention Jim's name :D :D :D

    I'll upload once I'm home again later today...

    BIG thanks, my friend !

    tracer -> (6/5/2003 8:18:18 PM)

    No sweat...I read the other ideas I had suggested and realized they were all second-rate. If anyone's interested, I went to www.streamload.com and opened a basic download account ($4.95/month or $37.95/year). This gives you 1000mb of downloads a month, and 3gb of personal storage with no limits on file sizes.

    tracer -> (6/6/2003 7:51:38 AM)

    I should point out that using a service like Streamload is a faster/cheaper alternative to burning a CD and mailing it. You just upload the files, move them to your 'hosted' (public) folder, and send the link to the other party.

    If you want to compare the competition (there's a bunch of them) go to a search engine like Yahoo and look up 'file hosting'.

    Gallo Rojo -> (6/6/2003 8:38:24 AM)

    So ... I'm a little lost with all this ...
    a simple question then: when and where will it be avaiable for download? :)

    tracer -> (6/6/2003 11:33:14 AM)

    I opened the account and sent the necessary info to PL last night...once he uploads the patch the guys at The Blitz should be able to download it almost immediately, and place it on their site.

    Check your mailbox: I sent you a 'reward' for your patience. ;)

    tracer -> (6/6/2003 6:39:36 PM)

    :D :D :D
    The patch has been sent...shouldn't be long now!

    Belisarius -> (6/6/2003 6:56:38 PM)

    :D :D :D :D :D

    Woo hoo

    Charles2222 -> (6/6/2003 7:19:15 PM)

    Anybody have a direct link to the Blitz's H2H download? I was over there yesterday and nothing looked like a download for it, be it old or new, but then I didn't exhaust all the possibilities either. Thanks.

    Charles, I believe this is where the new H2H will show up:

    ftp://www.theblitz.org/pub/mods/steel_panthers/

    Charles2222 -> (6/6/2003 8:35:51 PM)

    Belisarius: Thanks. I guess it'll work, as I can't even get on their home page right now.

    That hopefully means they're already working on it :D

    Charles2222 -> (6/6/2003 10:48:47 PM)

    Panzer Leo: Same thing I was thinking. Do you think the default directories are the same as the time before (on the install I mean)?
