The French redeploy forces along the front. USSR rebases some aircraft on the Northern front closer to the border. CW rebases Spitfire II from London 1 hex SW. Hurricane in Cairo to Alex. CVP from Ark Royal to Illustrious. France rebases D520S from Rouen to Paris and D510 from Paris to 56,32. No reorgs.

Japan: Combined Germany: Land Italy: Combined Port Attack: None Naval Air: None Naval Movement: Japan 3 x TRS convoy an INF, an ARM and a GARR to northern China Strategic Bombardment: None Ground Strike: Japan A Val tries to strike Nanning Italy The bombers in Germany try and strike against the French units west and southwest of the Ardennes. A Ba-65 tries to attack the French units in the mountains Germany Three Stukas attempt to strike against the French forces along the Belgian border. The French have 6 fighters incl. two in Paris and the Potez below the Z1007. The Germans/Italians have the aircraft seen plus: 4-strength in Antwerp, a 6 and a 5 in Brussels and a 3 in Saarbrucken. There is also a 6 in Cologne that can't reach any hex this impulse. All with two interception range unless stated. What do the French want to do? I assume it will be the bomber (as Allenk would know I'm not going to risk a Stuka on a -4 if my fighter gets aborted and if he chooses the fighter he runs the risk the bomber gets through when the Axis throw next). It looks like there are three enemy on each hex so will ask for 12 dice rolls and these will be applied in the order of the program. I can't scroll down the map as the Ground Strike box has come up. However I believe there were two French units in the hex so shall ask for two throws. I will also ask for two throws for Nanning. Jan/Feb 1941 Impulse: 2 (Axis) Rail Movement: None Land Movement: Japan The Japanese move ART up to Nanning, the newly arrived II Armoured Corps is sent to deal with the partisans west of Tsinan and the Peking Warlord is sent to try and protect the resource hex in the north. Italy The Italians make some minor adjustments in the northeast. Germany The French have a wall of armour, mech, artillery and anti-tank units in the clear terrain. I have two choices; a hopeful attack at low odds in the west or try and switch flanks and see if I can make some progress to the south. The latter is problematic in itself as there is a river to try and get across and still low odds but at least the French have no armour there at the moment..... Paradrop: Germany The Germans send the II Para Corps to the hex west of Strasbourg escorted by a Bf109. The French have the three fighters shown to intercept with. I can't see AllenK on the forum but can't save the game at this stage. The odds are 3:1 either way, but are closer to 4:1 without. However, on the basis that AllenK doesn't want another +1 for me and it may end up with the same odds anyway, I say no. In the north the odds are 33:9 (3:1) The Germans bring in 2 bombers (6 points). They have two 5-strength fighters that could intercept with. In the south the odds are 21.5:10 (2:1) The Germans bring in the He-115C (1 point) aircraft.
