How do you place them to reserve at the start?

How to place aircraft, and pilots, in the reserve pool at start.

1) Select the aircraft for placement.
2) Left click on the "Res" button.
3) Click on "Yes" to complete the transfer to the reserve pool.

See picture.

Note that the pilot isn't transferred to the reserve pool if you have additional aircraft remaining to be placed available. For example, if you have 8 CVP and only 4 pilots for them, then sending one of the CVP to the reserve pool only send the CVP and not the pilot. You then will have 7 CVP remaining, and 4 pilots.

Edit: Note that the pilots will not be shown in the reserve pool until the next MP setup step.

Wouldn't it be easiest to just add the BPs to US and they produce, during the first production, what was destroyed?

Wouldn't it be easiest to just add the BPs to US and they produce, during the first production, what was destroyed?

That is how I planned to do it before talking to Ronnie. Still think it's easiest way, and safe way.

When the time comes, Denmark aligns with CW. 5 CPs to Faroes Islands, 2 ships and 1 CP to Frederikshavn.

Poland chooses assault, every time, as long as they live.

Chinese choose assaul this impulse to all attacks.

As usual I take the attacks in the order presented by program and that means the Warsaw attack is first. This is a 4:1+2 on the assault table. The attack was a 9(11) losing the Poles two units and shattering the third. The attackers remain organised.

The attack on Chengchow is a 4:1+1 on the assault table. Throw was a 5(6) meaning that the Chinese lose 1 unit but the remaining two can't retreat and are also destroyed. All attacking units are disorganised. The Japanese march into the city but the Americans barely notice (an 8 is thrown).

I have wanted to try what happens if CW commits heavy in Denmark. Once I tried it half ass, later it has not always been even possible. In this game http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4333300&mpage=4&key= (post 102) AllenK used 4 divisions to take every hex on North Sea coast.

There are times when selecting the order of the combats can reap big rewards - such as when an attack on hex B then puts hex A out of supply. WiF uses instant supply calculations, so even if A & B were in supply when attacks declared, if that changes after an attack, defense strength of disorganized/flipped units can change.

There can also be advantages in combat order for blocking retreat paths from a Blitz combat.
