The fact the Grace bombers were able to find the British BB's in the poor weather was lucky/unlucky since it led to their escape in the end but still. Another odd thing was the complete lack of Carrier support, but then again the tankers were their and you confirmed yourself that you put next to no effort in intercepting shipping off the West Coast of India. Obviously the breakout from Diamond Harbor must be stop cold, the rivers are our friends, the army shouldn't be getting supplies unless air supplies come in, if that's the case then place leaking CAP over the enemy units to intercept any transport planes, but I think you need a working airfield for that but I could be wrong.

I only see 2 stats that justify it: Armor and speed, however bombers with armor will go down almost the same by any Allied planes armed with 20mm or 6x12,7 (or even 8x). Same is true for speed, almost useless vs. 400+ mph fighters.... I know the other 2 are not better, but cheaper as for these engines are build en masse early. Also more range and Betty even gets some defensive 20mm weapons. Sad thing is, all IJ bombers even the better armed ones can not defend themselves, but eg. the B25s on the Allied side can do this to a decree. Not even naming the 4Es[:o]

So in 44 with some escorts/DDs having SS radar and T2 DCs one should be able to hit Allied subs finally and even sink �m for good. Which in 43 are only rare occurances. Even with many "E" classes, that PBs do not sink anything is logical. Getting "unsunk" messages in the Ops report every 2nd turn for subs [:@]

At least, this is how I have always looked at it ... there are 500k troops in a 40x40mile hex, my bombers attack the divsion on the far West, ALL AA guns in the hex fire on my bombers (they all use supply so they fire) and the intensity is x times higher than when attacking a base in the same hex. Sorry, I don't get your logic because it's not the "unit" that is firing back, it's the whole f*cking AA in the 40x40 mile hex

Finally the Allies protect their ships with decent CAP... Can you post a pic of starting base (plus perhaps the units) of the strike ? Weather, AF size, IJN or IJA escorts, plane fatigue, distance to fly..etc..?? Also is he trying in a desperate move to cut you off over the swampy hex [&:] Can he even fly in supply at all (airdrop I mean)- where is the next bigger AF from him?

Well, I would make a line completely around those units that left Diamond Harbor so no supply at all could reach them until they breach the line. But then, there would be another line behind that one by then. [:D] Keep bombing them targets as well, as many different times during the day. Both AM and PM phases, keep the supply burning. BTW, have you tried torpedo bombers flying at 100 feet? instead of the dive bombers?

All was totally fine, just some honky tonky idiocy once more. Level 8 airfield, no fat, all settings ok, 99 morale, even all that stuff like same alt and so on. The fighters didn't take off. Been there gazillion of times just like the forum is full of it. He can't fly in supply, Ceylon is something like 26 or 27 hexes away and even if he could fly in some supplies, he's got 500,000 men there and we know how it worked out with the Luftwaffe and Stalingrad where they couldn't supply the 6th Army.

Currently he has no chance to draw supply from India's West Coast, that's some 1500 miles away.
