The AMC later sank; the DDs are returning to Adak. BB Fuso hit a mine at Tavoy, but sustained only 2 system and 1 float damage. A CA TF made a high speed run up toward Rangoon (but not into the mined harbor) and sank an Allied AMc. Four carriers passed Singapore and have low detection in the Malacca Strait; they will proceed north. A brigade of 33 Div is unloading at Tavoy; another is loading transports at Alor Star; the third will load when its transports arrive.
