Erik Rutins -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (11/27/2005 1:55:01 AM)

The odds are very good for a patch release this coming week.

What a great word...I love that word!

Grand_Armee -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (11/29/2005 8:04:50 PM)

If I'm ever rich enough to own a racehorse, that is what I'll name it. Until then, I'll keep playing the lotto.

Erik Rutins -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (11/30/2005 9:28:27 PM)

We're aiming to release very early next week, just updating you all.

Grand_Armee -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/1/2005 7:04:33 AM)

Thanks Eric. I was hoping it would be before saturday so I wouldn't have to suffer through Garoco's France owning the entirety of Europe.

1LTRambo -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/1/2005 10:34:38 PM)

Once the patch has been officially released, will it come in a new purchase of the game already installed, or will new buyers still have to download the patch seperately?

Erik Rutins -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/2/2005 12:32:35 AM)

Generally, after we release an official update, we update the full store version about two weeks later after we're sure no major problems slipped into the update at the last minute.

FYI: I'll be posting a new public v1.2.16 beta tonight to help prepare for the official release.

Regards,

- Erik

1LTRambo -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/2/2005 3:00:29 AM)

So it is a safe bet that the new patched version should be available within 3 weeks? I think I can wait a few weeks longer to get this game. I will probably be more satisfied with it.

Mus -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/3/2005 10:59:18 AM)

Rambo you will enjoy learning the game with the 1.2 beta patches just fine.

Ericbabe. Thanks for putting up the new beta patch so I can get my COG fix.

[:D]

Spartan07 -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/3/2005 12:08:15 PM)

Where can I find this patch??

1LTRambo -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/3/2005 1:58:28 PM)

I understand from reading this forum and the lenghty argument that brought me over from the EiA forum that the game is functionable and I can learn the basics of the game now. But seeing the upgraded release is only two weeks away, I can wait. Especially because final exams are coming up and I should really spend time studying instead of getting into a new game. That can come after the 17th.

It's available while in beta to registered owners of CoG in our Members' Club (the big "MEMBERS" link up in the top nav bar).

Regards,

- Erik

Spartan07 -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/3/2005 5:56:48 PM)

Im only seeing v1.1 so you must be a beta tester to dl this one?

elmo3 -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/3/2005 6:30:22 PM)

No, but you do need to have an account in the Members area and have registered CoG there with your serial number. I just checked and the beta patch is there.

Hi Nego
looks like you are going to the wrong area

go to members, sign in, then click on My Games
a list of Matrix games you own will show up
click on private download

and you should see it

Spartan07 -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/4/2005 6:50:36 PM)

Got it now. Thanks for the help guys.

siRkid -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/12/2005 4:57:59 PM)

Please release the patch before the Christmas holidays. Most of us will have some time off and would like to start new games.

1LTRambo -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/13/2005 12:34:48 AM)

Yes! And others just want to start[;)]

Besides, I'm sure there will be more problems to fix with additional patches.[:'(]

Spartan07 -> RE: v1.2 Patch News (12/21/2005 7:31:44 PM)

Any further update?

Or can we use the last beta and convert games started with this version to the final 1.2 version?

Erik Rutins -> v1.2.17 Beta Now Available (12/23/2005 8:09:35 AM)

v1.2.17 Beta is now available in the Members' Club. Please download it and give it a try over the holidays. Thanks!

Regards,

- Erik

nachinus -> RE: v1.2.17 Beta Now Available (12/23/2005 6:39:34 PM)

So no definitive patch until next year? [:(]

Well, at least we have a new betapatch to try... [:)]

Erik Rutins -> RE: v1.2.17 Beta Now Available (12/23/2005 7:58:07 PM)

Yes, unfortunately I was off on my prediction, but I think v1.2.17 stands an excellent change of being the official patch. If you don't mind trying it, you may in effect have a head start on playing the new official version. It is a huge improvement over v1.10 and also addresses some of the TCP/IP issues in v1.2.16.

Regards,

- Erik

nachinus -> RE: v1.2.17 Beta Now Available (12/23/2005 8:53:48 PM)

I'll try it, of course. No way I'm going to pass the Christmas vacations without playing CoG. :D

ericbabe -> RE: v1.2.17 Beta Now Available (12/23/2005 10:48:08 PM)

We really wanted to address the critical TCP/IP issues in this patch, and rooting out these bugs proved to be much more difficult than we anticipated (and we're still in testing to make sure things are working properly.)
