Yarr. I must confess that I was never a big Beatles fan, even though they were popular during my late adolescence and early adulthood.

I mean, their early stuff, when it wasn't a cover, wasn't much more than cutesy moptop dance music with odd lyrics and questionable musicianship behind it.

"When I'm comin' home tonight,
I'm gonna hold her tight,
I'm gonna love 'er 'til the cows come home..."

Wait a minute. What happens when the cows come home? A bull cops an attitude, steps up and says, "Hey! Scrawny little floppy haired pop music type. You messin' wif my heifer?"

"...and when I touch you I feel happy inside.
It's such a feeling that my love
I can't hide. I can't hide. I CAN'T HIDE."

Okay, okay. You lay yer hands on some chick, you start gettin' wood. So?

"Please, please me - oh, yeah -
The way that I please you."

I dunno. The gay thing never did it for me.

The only answer that i can told you is : you have the right to like or dislike. My point of vue is that respect of everyone taste is important.
Get back , get back, get back Pasternakski .....

Hi all,

Guys, is new PX and PY resolution option for WitP-AE working on 4:3 monitors?

For example I have my desktop set to 1600x1200 and would like to have several gaming options for that (both full screen and windowed)

Leo "Apollo11"

Sure does, Leo. It should work for any resolution supported by your video card/monitor combination.

Bonus points to Brothers Dixie and Pasternakski for that very entertaining "faber" exchange.

My mistake. I seem to recall there was some US group from the 1950's that had that lyric in a song.

If ever you or someone prove me wrong, i would be thankfull to learn something.
I know for example that the Beatles made a remake of "Roll over beethoven" from Chuck Berry

My apologies. I've not been able to find anyone who did a similar titled song in the 1950's. Sergio Mendez and Brazil 66 did a version of the song in 1966 , the year before the Beattles did it , but I've found people giving tribute to both Mendez and McCarthney for writing the same song? So I guess I'll start righting. "I must learn my bands better"......

Steve, I'm afraid I've been taking your sig banner a bit too seriously lately.  I had to open my mouth in the Tojo as uber thread.

I feel so dirty.

Don't feel that way. You said and did the right thing. The only reason that I try to avoid those kind of mix-ups is that I lack your sense of proportion and your common sense. I don't have your restraint.I get angry and my mouth rules. Or as my boot camp company commander used to say to me "kid your hearts in the right place. The trouble is your heads up your @$$".

You done good Mike. As I've heard Sophacles said (now 25 people will tell me that I have my quotes wrong) "the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". Well, you are definately a good man. I'll tell it to the world!

Thanks for the kind works, Brothers.

I still can't help that I'm allowing another to drag me down into the mud, where they can beat me with experience.

Don't get down in the gutter with him . Hold the high ground, respond with dignity and integrity , as you always do , and you'll never have to worry about sinking that low. My problem is I let my temper get the better of me, then I'm happy to wallow in the muck, and try to drag them down with me. I've skirted the ragged edge so many times , and not been aware of it , that I've decided to follow Brother Mynok's advice. If he thinks I'm being an idiot , I don't do it. And he generally thinks I'm an idiot!

Si ton amour était pareil au Mien
Je peux rester Sunday girl
Dépêche-toi

So Dixie , are we counting this as 70's number or 80's? If I recall Blondie released it in Europe in 79. And other places in 1980.

I dont know about you, but I'm disregarding it completely.

Which, according to GT, translates to;

"hey guys, after 36 hours of waiting, I have a trick up my box, so I leave you for a moment" ...

Edited: I wonder what Onime might make of that statement ...

Hah! It's impossible to be "too" pasternakski. It's like saying the Washington Monument is "too" phallic or the Marilyn Monroe air-up-the-dress shot was "too" pneumatic or the pizza and sex you just had were "too" good.

So what are you trying to say?

Apparently it's all the rage amongst the trendier gentlemen these days.

Didja ever read "The Forever War" by my old pal Joe Haldeman? Time travel is routine. Missions can cross hundreds of years, so that you never know whether you're confronting an enemy vastly more advanced technologically than you or so hopelessly primitive that they're cake.

He posits that the human race is inexorably "trended" toward homosexuality, so that the persistently hetero "hero" of the book winds up being referred to by his troops as "the old queer."

Lousy book like just about all sci-fi, but a lot of fun to read.

I picked up a copy (Bob recommended it, iirc). Good read, but not what I would call sci-fi, per se. More like musings on human nature set in a vaguely futuristic environment.

Pffft, typical faber-centric twaddle. Next you'll be telling us that it's suitable for two faberers to be parents
together. It's un-natural I say! You know who else used to Faber? Nixon And Adolf Hitler, he Fabered Poland you know. And don't get me started on Tom Cruise, we all know he's a faberer. Not to mention Muslim extremists.
Famous non-faberers include Ghandi and Mother Theresa. And Jesus. None of those people ever commited a faber.

As militantly extremist as you are, Dixie, Thread help us all if you ever found a cause.
