About a dozen empires in India, China a couple o' Caliphates and some Persians. The Achaemenid Empire contained about 44% of the population in the 5th Century BC. The Mongols also had a greater percentage of the world's populace under their banner than the UK at its peak too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_empires Not that I disagree with your premise but, dude, youre siting wikipedia. Warspite1 That premise is so wide of the mark it could have been written by Nicklas Bendtner. Are you calling CB a t**t? Warspite1 Very quick witted of you Mr Mouse . However, whilst it appears that way, I was doing no such thing CB. I simply wanted to make two points: 1. the British Empire was the big one, the daddy, the big cheese, the number 1, the numero uno...well you get the picture, and 2. NB cannot shoot straight. warspite1, "Who's your daddy?" was our mantra about the time a certain former Empire came a beggin' to us for secondhand destroyers about 65 years ago or so ago. "Big daddy"? Don't think so. Maybe you were amongst the most relevant Empires once upon a time. Kind of like any number of Chinese empires or that Persian one. The Romans were right up there too, or so I'm lead to believe. Your shoddy accounting for primacy is rather fascinating to behold, however. Please explain again how territorial landmasses for non-imperial territory can be calculated for land mass calculations once more? On second thought, don't bother. You'd probably rationalize your accounting tricks like you did that bit about the tax on tea. We all know how that turned out for y'all. They do have much better slang than us Colonials.
