If my Chiefs would have called the game at halftime, I would have had a much better day.

Right after this post, Demaryius Thomas just scored 13 points for my fantasy team. Much better thank you.

Guys, I've just received a PM from someone calling himself "SamuraiSkates " asking about Helmut. No posts, no record, it appears to be a new log-in. Anyone else suspious about this? He joined 12 August 2012.

Got the same PM, Steve. I asked him why, as a member with exactly zero posts, he was asking me this? I suggested that-since he was unknown on the boards-that he should post his questions on the board or ask Matrix directly.

Something rotten in Denmark, IMO.

Tough few days for you, Kansas. Your baseball team folded against the Yank-me's, your football team gave up the ghost and you made an epic fail call in the Wednesday night game.

At least your family is well, I trust?

Not to sure about the new overtime rules yet. But it didn't hurt the Vikings. 26-23 OT
It's the damned overtime shoot-out in the NHL that I really hate. I'm old school hockey. No points for losing.

I'm with you on the shoot-out, Schani. At least it's NEVER used in a playoff game, or God forbid, to decide the World Cup Championship!

There's a contridiction in terms! Good Monday? That's like have a "nice audit". "Have a good time at your hearing!". "Have fun with your root canal!". Really Mike!

A true friend, and one isn't listening to the Katrina and the wave's soundtrack of life ("Walkin' on sunshine!") would be honest and say...."May you survive monday more or less intact!".

And a good morning to you , as well.

Wasn't all bad, the former Big 12 schools all lost this weekend. Especially loved seeing Mizzu get beat.

You sleeping on the couch yet?

Nope. Because I got to bed first. Of course I did have to turn in at 6 tonight

I'd recommend either learning to be nice, or invest in an aerobed.

I could. Or I could just go to bed at 6 every night.

I told her she could get a new phone, but Mrs Dixie does not like spending money. Especially if it's 'mine'. She wants a new phone but she has to be persuaded that she does, if that makes sense.

My Monday was good. In for a day, tomorrow off and I'm possibly going off on a jolly this week. I've also been told I'm not working this weekend. And I was paid to play with vintage aircraft, today was the Dak.

I would PAY you to get her to have a conversation with my wife about not spending money. Anything, you name it.

First frost advisories have been coming out latley. And the temps are dipping. Autumn is here. Some of the boys have been eager to get out to the launch control center and start fixing it up. I told them they don't need to worry about putting in any work into the facility, but they insist, out of appreciation for letting me hunt out there. One guy is even going to come over to my house this winter and clear my driveway with his snow removal equipment. I'm overwhelmed. All just because I let them hunt out there. It's no big deal to me. But they seem to think otherwise. What a great group of guys.

Schani, that's the way life is supposed to work!

Nice cool front through here on Saturday night..... high of 78 yesterday and 74 today. It was 65 for my bike ride yesterday morning.

Life does work that way up here. Makes me feel like I won the lottery living here.

Cool nights are a nice change of pace after a hot summer. Hard to believe it gets down to -35 to -40. That's when I'll feel like we were sentenced here.

Last day of summer today in Germany. Up to 30° C!

I took my bike out for a little ride, but unfortunately, my feet hurt once I reach 60km...

Still, felt good! It can never be too hot when I ride my bike!

Summer? Was ist das auf Englisch?

I can only assume that your summer is a festival you have in Germany, a prelude to Oktoberfest perhaps?

That is some three weeks of warmth in a whole year instead of about 10 to 15 weeks as just 10 years ago. This is called global warming now!
