LOL!!!...it's amazing that everywhere in the world we all debate on the same things!!
They never understand... i keep on telling her (whoever HER is she) that the only thing i care is not to have more problems and arguments when i get home...just let me live for God's sake! ....but they simply don't get it. Mother, sister, GF, wife...it doesn't matter much...

I would agree with that. I understand she has been home all day with the kids and just wants some adult interaction and my attention.. however I don't care that the neighbor lady doesnt watch her kids like you think she should, that the kids on the corner were noisy, or that Katie Holmes is divorcing Tom Cruise because of this or that.... all I care about is him making more badass movies for me to watch and her looking cute for the tabloids...

Solomon's area report.

An invasion force?

I am comfortable showing my carriers.. it is only spotted as 4 ships though..

I believe this is a good course of action, especially with their carriers far enough away.. doubt it is bait.

Confirming with Harvey/Mike.

I wonder if they might be headed to Munda rather than Tulagi. Munda would keep them within CAP from Rabaul.
Just a thought.

That is some food for thought there Marc.

I think were only going to use the SAG, and move the carriers back out of strike range. Harvey and I don't think we should reveal carriers on the invasion force yet. I am guessing Mike feels the same way. He is back, and will be able to chime in and do his portion this evening.

Harvey basically said just using the SAG accomplishes the same thing without revealing our carriers. Sounds reasonable to me.

I do indeed feel the same way, some xAKs are not worth telling them our CVs are there. Now, if the SAG shows there are some CVs out there after they trash the transports, then, yes, indeed.

Been a while since updating, but given the traffic, seems like it is worthwhile
Burma
The Burma div w/Burma command currently holding the line between Pegu and Moulmein. They have taken a beating and expect a Jap deliberate attack in the next turn or two. They still have two forts despite the casualties taken. The weather has been Thunderstorms so not real interested in bombing but and playing cat and mouse with the Zeros and Oscars. I have Hurricanes arriving in numbers to be able to retrograde the 3rd AVG in the next run with intent to upgrade and send to China. Have forces to blunt/react to airborne assault at Magwe, Mandalay and Meiktila. May try to get some reinforcements into Akyab to help with the defense of Burma. Have moved bomber and fighter units into Northern Burma to help with the defense. Still an economy of force exercise.

Malaya
Holed up in Singapore waiting for the Japs to cross the causeway.

DEI
Have relocated 223rd RAF HQ to Praboemoelih. It almost ready to perform operations in support of Palembang with aviation support, ground forces, and fortification levels to make it useful. Oosthaven is relatively undefended but see no way to reinforce significantly. Training the AFs and have surface elements postured to help with the defense of Java.

India
I am building forts and positioning two locations for a concentrations of armored reserves to support defense of India. I am moving the remaining elements of the 17th Div to Dimpur to eventually combine the the div when the 63rd Bde eventually retreats out of Burma. Reinforcing Diego Garcia with a CD detachment and a Bde.

Australia
Have three armored units at Alice Springs. Two more Cav regts and a Corps hq are enroute. Intent is to facilitate defense and eventual withdrawal of force from Darwin to Tennant Creek. A-24s and P-40Es at Darwin took it in the shorts this last turn, we'll have another go at the various Jap fleets in the area this turn.

NG
Repositioning SAG in Coral Sea to be within striking range of Guadalcanal this next turn. Will try to get the CD detachment ashore at PM this turn. Need a BF/ more support there.

It could have been a rough day for the Japs.

A smoking Zuikaku had a torp fired at her, but missed.
Ryujo (in the Bismark Sea) had a torp fired at her, but it missed as well.

Harvey's Banshees could have put a bomb or two in Soryu.. but missed as well.

Balikpapan, Manila, Darwin, and Cebu were all targets of Jap bombers this last turn.

Harvey's bombers missed some DDs in the Makassar Straight as well...I saw that like it is his fault. Let me assure you, it is not.

Darwin is now swarming with Japs..Japs on ships. Didn't land this turn, but that is def their target.

We were planning on moving the USN CVs just outside of PM to see if the Ryujo TF comes down the coast and surprise them. However, we processed the turn without me updating my moves!! Oh well, we can chaulk it up to a failed radio operator.

sooo...

We had a golf tourny today put on by the company that does my audit.. yada yada..

In Wichita Kansas. We were very close to McConnell Airforce Base.. tankers fly in and out all day...however...

A B17, B24, AND P51 were flying around!!!!!!!!! So close, you could almost see the pilot in the B24. Things of BEAUTY...

They were flying around and my smart phone was in my bag.. scrambled and missed the B17 and P51 pictures... and then a B24 showed up, so I RAN back to get it finally and got a picture as it was turning away. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. The sound was BEAUTIFUL.. did some research, and I THINK they're going to be at the Wichita Air Show... this guy is going and taking pictures... the gentleman in my group was from Wichita.. retired coop mgr.. said they give retired vets rides all of the time in the area...wonder how a non vet, non military person (me) could get a ride.. I am guessing I should look into it...

Sorry I missed it when it was DIRECTLY overhead...

I will bite... Have a klaxon email sound for when your opponent emails your next turn and he emails it back to you and the computer is within earshot?

Then my buddy told once, that him and his wife do it doggy style. He sits up and begs. And she rolls over and plays dead.

Japs landed at Darwin.. the have a nice mix of beat up ships... Mutsu took a lot of shots, but I am not sure how much damage.

They landed two tank btn, 38th Div, and 4th Division.

They also bombed Palembang, Manila, and Burma areas again this turn.

KB moved back north away from Darwin.. not sure why they were in the Darwin hex last turn.

Lot of subs shot fish this turn but zero results. Most if not all of the approaches in the DEI have a sub in the proximity.

I mention.. I don't know why the KB was at Darwin.. I mean.. in the Darwin Hex.. not why was it in the area.. the obvious.

I would be curious to know how badly dmg the Zuikaku is from that torp a handful of turns ago... It is obvisously not that bad, or they wouldnt have kept it around for the Darwin invasion. I am curious if they will send it back for repairs now that Darwin forces are ashore..
