Weather has been bad so the couple turns have been quiet. Japanese are preparing for thier next major operation into Malaya and the DEI.

Burma
Quiet. Reconning Bangkok this turn to what he has there. Continuing to evac the BF from Victoria Point to Pt Blair with the DC-2 detachment from the Indian AF. Placed a small bn at Toungoo as a precaution against a Japanese airborne assualt where the training of the AVG continues. Moving BFs to Magwe/Mandalay. Training the 67th RAF at Magwe so when Hurricanes become available they will be somewhat trained and ready to upgrade. Consolidating the 1st Burma Division minus the 2nd Bde at Pegu. Evacuating Tavoy and the BF from Moulmein has already been railed out to Shwebo to start preparing forts and an airfield.

Malaya
Quiet. Japanese moving overland with elements to Khota Baru. Evacuating all but the FMSV Bde from Khota Baru. Majority of assets now converging on Jahore Baru and Singapore. Expect a KB supported invasion at Mersing soon.

DEI

Tarakan is in Japanese hands. Dutch Tf to stage near Balikpapan supported by 2 subs to react to movement south of Tarakan. Mini KB and a small force moving towards Ambon. Surface assets at Ambon refuled and do not have Ops points to be of use. Shortlegged Dutch assets are a challenge to move and use at a distance. Leaving them in Ambon on the chance the thunderstorms will cover them. We will see. US assets and Kendari putting to sea south of Kendari. Expect to have some targets for surface action in the next couple turns. Moving supplies, fuel and forces to Koepang, as well as a BF with supply and fuel to Cocos Islands to support movement of ships out of the DEI when the KB arrives.

KB is near Saigon, with thier fast BBs and an invasion TF heading for Kuching. Expect Kb to position in the South China Sea for a strike at Singapore this turn.

India

Positioned BFs on some of the key points along the withdrawl routes to Bombay and Delhi, starting to build forts. 18 Brit Division will initially go to Colombo as a reserve, but are prepping for Bombay. 4 Dds are enroute from the DEI to provide a screen for Brit Capital ships at Colombo. Moving supply cnvoys to Rangoon from Calcutta.

Australia
Finished evacuating force from Kavieng the turn the invasion arrived. Continuing to evacuate garrison at Lae, with Salamua will be next. Adleaide did not react to the invasion at Kavieng, so I will send her in tonight hoping to catch the invasion TF if it lingers. Moving supplies to PM and Horn Island. Secured Katherine and Fenton to build fort levels to facilitate the withdrawl from Darwin when the eventual hammer strike comes to NW Australia. Consolidated BFs at Kalgoorlie to do the same for SW Australia.

By all appearances there is a bombardment TF, and the mini-KB covering an invasion TF bound for Ambon. We'll attempt to oppose the landings. Should be interesting nonetheless.

Celebes Sea activity and Baby KB.... Baby KB doesn't really scare me as it can easily be over powered, but it does need to be tracked..

BTW that TF info screen was not over Baby KB, it was over that large collection of ships to the NE...

My fighters are Manila are still pretty low on morale, and the runway is +50 dmg now... We are bringing down some AC that still fly over Manila... but we all know what the final result will be, but we plan to hold out as long as possible.

Does anyone know why red lettering looks horrible when saving screens and editing them in Paint?

West Coast report -

I have transferred the 51st PG and 42th BG to the Eastern USA for transport to Capetown for eventual us in that side of the world. We will be stripping all the pilots that are more than 50 in experience off before the shipment for immediate use and replacing them with green pilots for training up once they get where they are going.

The 31st PG is being loaded for transit to Sydney, they will pick up an escort in route. The 22nd BG will follow shortly, once lift is available.

The 50th PG/11th PS arrived with P40Es, we need them elsewhere, so they get P39s, for now. We now have 44 P40Es in reserve.

China -

Looks like they are trying to reinforce Ichang from Hankow. I am moving units to threaten Hankow, looks like he only left a small garrison, we shall see.

Russia - replacements pouring in. That is about it.

General note: It is difficult to run the turns as I keep trying to click on the red stuff instead of the allied stuff... habits are hard to break!

Turn ready to go, just waiting on Jeff and Harvey to give me the OK that they don't have anything left to do.

Key is to ge the float damage worked off and then evac. If it can hang at sea, move it out!

Paint does a poor job with some colors. I use PaintShopPro and it does ok., although I avoid red.......
