May 28-29, 1945 The next two days are good again in the air, but ominous on the ground. The Allies come directly toward the block created by our tank divisions and another ID, and they show the effects of late war Allied firepower advantage. A lot more is 3-4 days out for the IJA, but I can't tell what the Allies have coming in. This is where the mediocre IJ recon doesn't help. As it turns out on the 29th two Marine IDs have also moved in. This will be trouble. If I can reinforce I could hold here, but I have a feeling I'll be flying in a day or two. Ill plan to set up shop on the next x3 hex with about 2,500AV and a bit more arty help there too. Georges and Ki-83 continue to wreck havoc on the Allies CAP. Both days they get positive results as the Allies try to fly out of Nanking with it's damaged fields. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR May 28, 1945 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TF 808 encounters mine field at Shanghai (92,55) - Coastal Guns Fire Back! 12 Coastal gun shots fired in defense.
