December 19-20, 1945 The Allies build pressure everywhere in China and break through at Nanning. Kweiyang is hit next and it's bloody, but at least on both sides. The Allies keep trying some daylight raids and this time the CAP is up to the job. These are the only points I'll gain other than a few room losses if I'm lucky, so it's good to rack them up where I can. His pilots must be a mess by this time in game, as all of this for a year and a half has been over Japanese bases. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR Dec 19, 1945 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Kweiyang (74,49) Allied Bombardment attack Attacking force 247255 troops, 4201 guns, 6262 vehicles, Assault Value = 8131 Defending force 99363 troops, 788 guns, 359 vehicles, Assault Value = 2236 Japanese ground losses: 246 casualties reported Squads: 2 destroyed, 12 disabled Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 2 disabled Engineers: 0 destroyed, 2 disabled Guns lost 7 (2 destroyed, 5 disabled) Vehicles lost 1 (1 destroyed, 0 disabled) Assaulting units: 25th Mechanized Brigade 6th Australian Division 7th Indian Division 50th Tank Brigade 2nd USMC Amphb Tank Battalion 6th Marine Division 9th Australian Division 193rd Tank Battalion Eighth Army Combat Engineer Regiment 766th Tank Battalion 32nd Infantry Division 111th Tank Division 2nd British Division 255th Indian Tank Brigade 5th Australian Division First Army Combat Engineer Regiment XXIV Corps Combat Engineer Regiment 3rd Carabiniers Regiment 73rd Tank Brigade 2nd USMC Tank Battalion 23rd Indian Division 9th Indian Division 52nd Rifle Division 43rd Tank Brigade 3rd Guards Mechanized Corps 762nd Tank Battalion 254th Armoured Brigade 710th Tank Battalion 44th Tank Battalion 7th Guards Mechanized Corps Tenth Army Combat Engineer Regiment 172nd Brigade 54th Engr-Sapper Bde 150th RAC Regiment 735th SU Regiment 7th Australian Div /11 122nd British AT Gun Regiment 152nd Cannon Brigade 8th USMC Field Artillery Battalion 249th Field Artillery Battalion 8th Medium Regiment 461st Mortar Regiment 1141st Cannon Regiment XIV US Corps 543 & 545 Field Artillery Battalion 60th Guards Mortar Regiment 23rd Indian Mountain Gun Regiment 12th USMC Field Artillery Battalion 422nd Rocket Field Artillery Battalion 1917th AA Regiment 5th USMC Field Artillery Battalion 134th Field Artillery Battalion XV Indian Corps 165th Field Artillery Battalion 1316th Anti-Tank Brigade 150th/387th PVO AA Battalion 17th AA Division 1st USMC Field Artillery Battalion 6th Gd.Breakthrough Artillery Division X Corps Artillery 1st Medium Regiment 462nd Parachute Field Artillery Battalion 85/88/98th Mortar Regiment 408th PVO AA Battalion 6th Medium Regiment 35th Anti-Tank Brigade 18th SP Field Artillery Regiment 98th Coast AA Regiment 53rd Guards Mortar Regiment 2nd Indian Medium Regiment 52nd Guards Mortar Regiment 223rd Field Artillery Battalion 131st Field Artillery Battalion 1st Indian Medium Regiment 208th Coast AA Regiment 3rd Front Defending units: 2nd Division 39th Division 55th Ind.Mixed Brigade 27th Division 37th Division 17th Ind.Mixed Brigade 105th Ind.Mixed Brigade 40th Division 35th/B Division 38th Ind.Mixed Brigade 3rd Tank Regiment 12th Air Defense AA Battalion 2nd Sasebo SNLF Coy 23rd Ind.
