Not so sure about that Mike. You always seem to have my measure in the end Wonderful game Lowpe, your fighting spirit is to be applauded and commended. Bravo Sir quote:

ORIGINAL: Lowpe Well, taking Shikoku opened up the western half of Honshu to aerial destruction and sweeps. Shikoku has an invasion beach without rail connections. If the Allies would have moved fast, and focused their bombing on my troops in the open, then he could have cut Honshu in half. Unfortunately for him, I moved faster and stopped the invasion in x3 terrain. Matsumaya then held, and now he has reinforced there, but it still holds. I have no clue why he invaded Honshu directly, if fact I had just prior come to the conclusion he had no plans on invading Honshu proper (and was terrified of a Chinese landing) and then moved on to Osaka and Nagoya some of the best terrain in the game for me to fight in. If you read NJP/Wargamer, their first finished game, the Allies just roll across Honshu and the game ends in late Jan 1945 with AV and almost no strategic victory points...here the Allies have 40,000+. I bet he was expecting that outcome. I think he has to be somewhat frustrated. I know he was surprised the game made it to 1944. There are likely significant differences between the two games. I had already taken Shikaku(sp) and was attacking the eastern home islands along with having isolated china and a large amount of land units there plus I had control over Shanghai, etc. Without at least 2 of those 3 conditions I do not believe I could have done anywhere near what I managed against NJP. Oh, no doubt you are correct...but it isn't readily apparent from reading your AAR that NJP had something like five divisions on Formosa bypassed. Plus, all the troops you cut off. So far I have avoided that problem. Still, I won't last as long as NJP did. LOL!! It is not exactly a fair test ;] But it is fun to watch action on the home islands. NJP is running circles around me in this new game so he will last even longer!!
