Defending units: this is a powerful stack based around the well trained 6th and 9th Aus Divs. The IJA plan may need to be revised to pocket this force, reduce their supply to zero then grind them down. This is a big force to try and clear from a base hex in Jungle terrain, but GEN Hata will move forward from Imphal to conduct a personal inspection.
