But Steve loves it. Dont you Steve?

Perhaps you'd like to join me next July when I get to move to a "mystery destination"? Maybe St. Louis, maybe Jacksonville, maybe "who-the-hell-knows?". But I'd be delighted to share the "joy" of the "moving experience" with you. Sometimes I wish U-haul has chosen a different motto then "Adventures in Moving" . How about "a really easy job with no drama"? It's not catch, but it would be very welcome!

Pratt, KS is a wonderful spot.

I'm sure it is. Does it have a large USN/USAF base ? If not, then I'm pretty sure that I'm not going there.

Then there's Grand Forks AFB. Mekinock, ND it is. Let me be the first to welcome you to the frozen North.

After the 1st 3,000 mile move , it's all downhill. Of course the 8-9,000 mile moves still really suck!

This was my second 3k move. I'm getting too old for this.

Er no CB, that would be the rather beautiful old lady in my sig line - fact and I'm not even biased....

quote:

Until she was scuttled.

I think you will find though that she was not scuttled at all. HMS Rodney and HMS KGV spent 24 hours trying to inflict damage on the German wonder ship - without success. Meanwhile, Rafe McCauley, who was en vacances in Ireland, recovering from the Doolittle Raid (during which he personally laid waste to Tokyo) got wind of the naval contretemps and hired a fishing boat which he loaded with some spare torpedoes he found lying around.

To save the RN from further ignominy and defeat, he sailed single handed (with only Kate Beckinsale and Matt Damon for company) in the fishing boat to the battle zone. Once there he immediately launched said torpedoes and sunk the pride of the Kriegsmarine. The British claimed the credit, and in the name of Allied togetherness, Rafe kept Schtum.

Only now, thanks to Michael Bay, can the true story be told. Coming to a cinema near you soon "Sink the Bismarck? F^&* Yeah".

Is this your first time here?

Yes, but you have the added difficulty of having to move in a sleigh drawn by reindeer.

That would be most unlikely , but preferrable to SOME places the Government has sent me.

Well, I hope that you can send me back the turn before you have to pack up, Steve.

No problem. In fact I should be able to SEND YOU packing by then. That is to say your LYB electron-troopers! And in fact, if we were to do it in spring , we could do one more "Mid-America" summit before I'm off to where ever.

On the other hand, if I'm really, really lucky , and Santa brings me what I want , we could hold a "Northern Florida summit!".

I guess we can start plotting our grand strategy in the soon to be declared war against the Limeys.

"East Ubanga"?

Ubanga? Isn't that what Berlusconi had at his lavish parties?

On a personal note: I'm so very disappointed to hear that he won't be running for a fourth term. He was always great comedic humor fodder. There hasn't been a European with such an impact on the humor front since...well...Generalisimo Francisco Franco.

Winnie was a great one for comedic contribution too.
