Is all Warsaw on the wrong side?

Damn, what a game between Australia and Japan. Three Aussie goals from the 84th to 92nd minute, after the Japanese scored in the 28th minute... That's what we likes to see![8D]

you know me - banzai![X(][8|][8|][:(]

Terminus -> RE: 2006 World Cup of FOOTBALL in Germany (6/12/2006 11:28:39 PM)

The Japanese team just collapsed totally when the Aussies scored the first goal. It was like a car that had its engine shut off...

Przemcio231 -> RE: 2006 World Cup of FOOTBALL in Germany (6/13/2006 12:01:06 AM)

Well my friends think the same as me... as we don't mind that Poland lose the match ageainst Ecuador but they way the lost the game... totaly no fighting spirit no nothing they were just running on the field... the only ones that did try to do something were Boruc , Smolarek , Krzynowek and two substitutes Brozek and Jelen...

I tried to tell you [:'(]. The sleeping giant awaketh! [&o]

Seriously though, this is a good start. The country is going mad and apparently Football Federation Australia is desperately trying to get there hands on more bandwagons [:'(].

We're a genuine chance to make it to the next round now but that probably means Czech Rep. or Italy; not a nice prospect, especially after seeing the way the Czechs bashed up the US. Still, football's a funny game...

I thought of a good name for the Aussie suporters in Germany too...The Golden Horde. It's good to see that they're engaging in responsible drinking practices and public decorum too...

Cheers, Neilster

I thought Poland was a little unlucky though. A couple of those shots missed by a bee's pube.

Brasil still ows us to show what they really can do. Excellent game by Croatia and a REALLY lucky brasil team.

ravinhood -> RE: 2006 World Soccer Championships in Germany (6/14/2006 1:34:07 AM)

USA team looked so pitiful they shouldn't play anymore, just forfeit the rest of the games, especially this next one. ;) GO ITALY!!! hehe

Neilster -> RE: 2006 World Soccer Championships in Germany (6/14/2006 10:33:39 AM)

Those FIFA official rankings are complete bollocks too. What's the USA? 7? Australia 42? I don't think so.

Cheers, Neilster

I wonder how any sane mind could support the italian sissies with golden shoes and golden numbers on the jersey. Once again they made a big show when beeing fouled (Iaquinta looked and acted like he stepped on a landmine when he was "foulded") just to be healed by their wonder healer and score a goal a minute later. I hope they don't make the first round like 2002 and then call it a referee scandal again [8|]

If there is anything I really hate on this earth then it is the italian football [;)]

Terminus -> RE: 2006 World Soccer Championships in Germany (6/14/2006 12:47:41 PM)

Yeah, Italy is a pathetic bunch of spoiled, overpaid brats.

I should say the Italian TEAM is...

Raverdave -> RE: 2006 World Soccer Championships in Germany (6/14/2006 4:33:11 PM)

Nah Italy has a good team.......................I wonder how many euros they have bet on themselves to loose?[sm=rolleyes.gif]

anarchyintheuk -> RE: 2006 World Soccer Championships in Germany (6/14/2006 5:20:31 PM)

Italy has a good team, I just can't stand watching any of their league games (unless they paid me per hand gesture or dive). Give me the epl and the bundesliga, thank you very much.

Przemcio231 -> RE: 2006 World Soccer Championships in Germany (6/15/2006 12:17:19 AM)

Well and we have the first team out of the Turnament... POLAND is out after loseing 1:0 in the Last minute... there are no chances of Qualifaying any further...

Honda -> RE: 2006 World Soccer Championships in Germany (6/15/2006 12:19:46 AM)

Hey, we only let Brazil win so we can THRASH them in the final [sm=00000280.gif]

"All portrets look the same these days, 'cause they're painted to a romantic ideal rather than as a true depiction of the idiosyncratic facial qualities of the person in question."

By "portrets" do you mean portraits? I'm not having a go at your English. I'm guessing it's better than my Croatian. [;)]

As it's your sig I thought you might want to get it right.

Righty ho...that's my last free English lesson. All you other bastards are going to have to have a paypal account. [:'(]

At least the players don't have far to go home. Especially since the whole country was moved westward. [:'(]

Actually, bad luck Poland. Not a lot went right for them in this tournament. Still, it could be worse. Losing to Germany used to result in a brutal occupation and lots of big new camps. [X(]

Did you watch the game actually [&:], I mean how can you say they did not deserve to be that lucky after playing 20 minutes on one goal? Poland was dead in the water from the 65 minute on (and even more after Sobolewski was sent of the field) and the german pressure was increasing from minute to minute. Not one shot on the german goal after that, the last dangerous shot was in the 57 (!) minute.

If one was lucky then I would say Poland that they did not got more goals [;)].

Actually the polish players played 500% better then against Ecuador. Man, Smolarek scored so many goals for Borrusia Dortmund in the very same stadium, but completly failed yesterday. A great fight, using their chances was not a strenght of the polish ...

I still don't understand why Dudek was left home. I consider him one of the best keepers, not that Artur Boruc was bad at all yesterday. Some marvelous saves by him.

Yeah, I saw it, and any team that wins a game 1 - 0 on a goal scored in the 92nd minute is lucky. As you say, they were blitzing the Polish goal for the last 20 - 25 minutes, but failed to score on any one of a very large number of chances. Considering how badly they played in the first half, they didn't deserve to be that lucky.

I'd rather call it deserved then lucky [;)]

The polish keeper was absolutly stunning and like I sayed he is the guy to say "thank you" for saving what could have been a 3:0 or more.

Well as for Dudek he was left home becouse he always had bad influance on other players... he encourage them to drink and party...[:D] Boruc is far better goalkeeper then Dudek... well any way at least we were not trashed 4:0 or something... any way Go Klose Go Podolski they are poles afterall[:D]

Maybe it was the "drink and party" that was missed by the players [;)][:D]

Congrats to T&T for keeping the English off for 83 minutes. Too bad they couldn't carry it all the way home...
