Yes it does ^^^

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 5:27:41 PM)

Seconding atcranker's comment - yes, it does.

Yeah, if you guys could put your 'Contact Info' into the PS format - use your team's front office summary page and check the 'Contact Details' button. Then input your info - that would be great. At the very least, your Matrix username so that people can PM you.

To answer a sim question that I forgot - Each session simulates 7 days of the game schedule.

By the way, I want to publicly thank Xcom (the other league owner who is working through issues) for his help in the ftp department with PSBB. It wouldn't have worked without his assistance. And he tipped me to the ftp server I use, too. Thanks, dude. [:)]

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 5:58:17 PM)

I am working on setting up some password-protected subdirectories for PSBBGTL right now. I may be changing the FTP info in the future, but that won't occur until after the first sim session is completed and you download the next league file (the changes will automatically be included in the league file).

Question for Glenn and Trent - how much time did it take to upload rosters? I imagine it was fairly quick?

IMPORTANT: all users must be on the same version of PSBB as the Commish for rosters to be accepted. Most recent version is v1.34. Please upgrade before you upload your rosters. I will publish reminders about this as new versions are released.

Woodruff -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 6:23:33 PM)

My upload took less than one second, SittingDuck...it was definitely quick.

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 6:39:39 PM)

Trent and Glenn, check your PMs to confirm the info in the GIF images I have sent.  I want to confirm your moves are in my system.

Sending them in a sec or two.

Deltadog -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 7:04:30 PM)

FYI -  I have uploaded my roster moves a second time as the first time I was still using 1.33.  Game was upgraded to 1.34 before the second upload.  Hopefully this will not cause a problem.  No changes were made between uploads except for the upgrade and inclusion of contact information in the second.

If interested upload took about 12 seconds.

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 7:33:07 PM)

Thanks.  Actually, I'd like to see how the program would work with rosters made on older versions.  I know the system was warning me that my (as Commish) version was older than the rosters that had been uploaded.

But I'd like to see how it does for a roster uploaded with v1.33.  So if anyone wants to try that before they upgrade to v1.34, please do so.  Then I'll check it out, see if it works and all that.  Then I'll post the info and the owner or whoever can upgrade to v1.34.

verizon32 -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 8:11:34 PM)

Just curious, does puresim let you enter a password for your team when making changes before you export the file back?

This way no one else in the league can make changes to your team.

KG Erwin -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 8:22:37 PM)

Phil, the upload took only a few seconds.

Deltadog -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 8:27:28 PM)

Wnen you open the league, it shows a prompt to log in as commissioner with an optional password.  I did not try and open it with that prompt and would assume that the commissioner would set a password.  If you click on the arrow icon to the right a drop down menu appears listing each team.  You scroll down to your team and click and the original screen changes to show your team instead of the comissioner and also allows an optional password.  I would assume that this prevents anyone except someone knowing the password and the commissioner from logging on and making change to your team.  For this first time, I chose not to set a password, just in case there is a problem.  I do not know what others have done and did not attempt to change any of their line ups as an experiment as I did not know what would happen if I did and then uploaded my roster changes, but I bet that if they have set a password I would have been denied access.[:)]

Follow up- I set up and old version of this league, which of course does not have the FTP data and entered 3 passwords for Commissioner, my team and another team. If I logged on to my team or as commissioner, I was allowed to make changes and when I opended a player card all options appeared. When I logged as the other team and then opened my team and tried to make roster changes nothing happened when I clicked on each player. When I opened a player card on my team while logged on as another team, the only option shown was View in Almanac.

KG Erwin -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 8:41:32 PM)

Maybe setting a password is a good idea.

On a separate note, since Shaun is setting up a Matrix-hosted ftp server for leagues in RC4,  how is this going to affect us?

Note to Phil: I just submitted an updated team file, with contact info and a different team logo (I opted to use the modern-day logo, hence my new avatar). I also established a password for the Bucs.

akcranker -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 9:25:00 PM)

Yes I think everyone should set passwords

KG Erwin -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 10:32:38 PM)

As a followup, it might help if you owners would follow my lead and set your avatar to your team logo.  It would look pretty cool, IMHO. Just a thought.

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 11:44:38 PM)

Owners - on your front office page are two buttons - Set Password and Contact Info.

Fill out both of them, please. Set a password. When you load up the assn, it will have a Log-In menu with the Commissioner as the default. Scroll down to your team and log with a blank password (if you haven't set one yet). Then go to your Front Office, click the Set Password button and enter your password.

There is also the Contact Info button there, so please use it to put in pertinent info for the other owners.

I've got a password set for both my team and Commish status. No one should be able to enter as a Commish in the current league file. In older league files I had not set it yet, so that isn't an issue.

Matrix' ftp situation will not affect us. I wish I had known about it because I could have saved some dough, but that's life.

Fouts -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 11:47:22 PM)

I'm using 1.32 still and my upload worked. I changed my contact info.

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 11:48:25 PM)

ok. thanks.  I want to see how my v1.34 program reacts to that.

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 11:53:58 PM)

Fouts - just checking your roster update.  You went with a four-man rotation, correct?

akcranker -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/27/2006 11:59:57 PM)

I can't upload my roster changes for some reason.. it keeps giving me an error.

akcranker -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 12:05:45 AM)

I'm in the matrix chat room if anyone wants to chat.

KG Erwin -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 12:09:07 AM)

Did it upload properly? Try it again.

Btw, thanks for the chat, Cory. That was very nice. I enjoyed it. [:)]

Glenn

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 1:07:47 AM)

Cory, you have to upload your avatar pic, and then you have to upload it again as your profile pic. Don't know why, but that made it work for me.

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 1:08:48 AM)

What is the error it is giving you, Cory?  And I assume you d/l the most recent season-ready file that I posted last?

akcranker -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 1:38:47 AM)

About the Avatar.. I uploaded it and clicked on the Use avatar as Profile Photo and it still don't work.

Yes I've downloaded the most recent PS Patch & the most recent association file.

When I upload my roster changes it creates the roster file and then says it's uploading.  About 45 secs later I get the following error:

Error uploading roster moves.  Please check your internet connection and FTP settings.

Now I know my internet connection works becaus I am posting here and I know I can upload and download files because I've been doing that with other things today.

I haven't made any changes in the FTP settings so I don't know what is wrong.

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 1:40:22 AM)

Well I've got a roster update in my FTP folder for you. Let me PM you with a GIF of your lineup and see if that is what you set.

Btw, owners don't make ANY changes in the ftp settings, or you'll never connect to the server.

Deltadog -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 2:05:10 AM)

Which of the logo sets are you'll using.  There seems to be 3 differant eras and I don't want to download them all.  I had the caps, so I used it for now.

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 2:13:19 AM)

you can do whatever you want; I uploaded the historic one for you, but it doesn't matter.

I actually made all my own logos, btw

Deltadog -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 2:37:03 AM)

I downloaded a Yankee logo and then tried to upload it as my avatar.  The cap was replaced and nothing shows.  I tried to put the cap back and the same not happens.  I will try again later?

SittingDuck -> RE: Puresim Multiplayer League - Greatest All-Time Teams! (8/28/2006 2:41:31 AM)

what format are you using? it was showing there for awhile. I don't know what happened.

i use a gif format
