It's actually starting to work a bit better now- in places. I think the confusion may lie in a reversal of file transfer "procedure." Correct me if I'm wrong. Previously a player finished moving, let players know and then other players had to ask for the file. This is sloooooow, because when others ask, the finished player might then be off-line, gone for a weekend or whatever. Likewise, following an HQ designated order of resolution is slow because it takes no account of when people can do their moves. What if HQ says "X goes 1st, Y 2nd, Z 3rd" only to find that X is busy for 2 days? Everybody waits. Once people get their heads round this it WILL be as fast as a multi-player game can get. You no longer post here AFTER your move, you post here BEFORE to stop other players who have THE SAME FILE from doing their moves. Then, when you finish moving, email the file to EVERYONE who hasn't moved (or just to everyone if it's simpler). Then the first person ready doesn't have to wait their turn, they just post here "I'm now doing turn xxx" or whatever. In hotmail, you should be able to put everybody's email in a group and send one email to everyone with the file. It doesn't really matter if you send the file to people who have already moved. They ought to remember. In passing TheArchduke still can't move because he has no orders. If you can move tonight I'll send you some orders anyway to keep the game running. Email me please.
