USXpat -> RE: Question (TR 42 - 45) (9/21/2014 8:12:51 PM)

Thanks Joao. That is in part by design, but mostly owing to having reached the maximum allowable units for the Allies -- iirc 1999 or 2000. Eventually the Axis can reach the cap, too, if too many units are divided up.

Thanks for reply, Mark

I posted too early without checking the scenario on the editor. I did so and could see Allied units reach 2000 units - the limit - so it's clear why they don't divide.

How's the next version coming Mark?? :)

fogger -> RE: Question (TR 42 - 45) (9/22/2014 8:33:08 AM)

Have you asked for a copy of 3.6? Developers are (were?) allowed a copy for scenario design.

USXpat -> RE: Question (TR 42 - 45) (9/22/2014 4:44:06 PM)

I am on the beta team, so do have access to the newest betas, but not expecting to reach the new limits in the 1939-1945 Europe scenario. It's big. After a break, I decided to streamline it by taking out the Nomanhon and political option components. So, I'm now back to revising the Events, which is going fast.

If it meets expectations, depending upon how everything else goes, and if it is deemed "permissible/appropriate/desired" to do a low end crowdfunding project then I will seriously consider adding in the Far East/China/Burma & Pacific. I'd assess it as "impractical" and more of a novelty item, as few would play it, fewer would finish, but it's the kind of thing I've always wanted to play.

SMK-at-work -> RE: Question (TR 42 - 45) (9/22/2014 9:34:32 PM)

Would that mean the Soviets have rail lines going off the east of the current map?? (You know where I'm going with this.....[sm=Cool-049.gif])

USXpat -> RE: Question (TR 42 - 45) (9/22/2014 10:04:02 PM)

When Nomanhon was part of it, the rail lines extended (at scale +/- 60 km) to Vladivostok).

This shows where the map is presently. Rail lines are dotted red. The green line is where I'm think about extending the map detail. There are also two rail lines coming up from the south, one from Iraq that hasn't been built yet, the other through Iran.

Sea lanes all the way to Halifax/New York/Perth/Cape Town, are also very close to actual distances.

I can only hope that all of the things being worked on come to pass.

lion_of_judah -> RE: East & West Front 1942-1945 scenario (10/29/2014 2:22:25 PM)

where can one download this from?

USXpat -> RE: East & West Front 1942-1945 scenario (10/29/2014 2:28:23 PM)

Still being worked on, not available yet - will depend upon when the new expanded parameter version of TOAW is released.

secadegas -> RE: East & West Front 1942-1945 scenario (4/28/2015 6:31:15 PM)

Mark

Didn't you created a version (1.4) of this scenario for human vs Axis PO in the past (Jan 2012)?

I can't find it at wargamecollege.net

I wouldn't mind give it a serious try even if it is in beta untried status...

USXpat -> RE: East & West Front 1942-1945 scenario (4/29/2015 10:53:11 AM)

Hi Joao,I've set it up for direct download at -- http://www.wargamecollege.net/Third%20Reich%2042-45%20Axis%20PO.zip

Copy/paste that as is and should work. I don't remember all of the details, but think Axis is fubar in North Africa, but not too shabby up until about T18 - 20 on the East Front. Eventually gaps form and those can be easily exploited. I didn't pursue it further as there was discussion at the time of further improvements to Elmer.

secadegas -> RE: East & West Front 1942-1945 scenario (4/29/2015 2:28:33 PM)

Thanks a lot, Mark

Just what i needed. It's working smoothly.

It will keep me busy for the next few weeks...

TOAW is my opium and Norm is the sole prophet... and if you keep this kind of performance you'll become one of my deities... [:D]
