Playing WitP AE on my 24" screen with my laptop next to it to make notes...

Terminus -> THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 2:40:20 PM)

Good for you. Please don't change the subject line.

KenchiSulla -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 2:49:12 PM)

Jealous? Or is it just that time of month?

Nope. He's showing a respect to tradition. And good manners for the rest of us. [:(]
Now how about doing us all a favor, and showing us all some respect by complying with his request? Please consider this a second request. [:(]

KenchiSulla -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 3:20:16 PM)

Didn't know the rule.. Changed the subject, could have done with a friendly could you please change the subject but perhaps that is really too much..

What exactly was unfriendly about "Please could you..."?

Termie isn't exactly known for his manners so I was taken aback a bit at his use of "Please" in this instance...

KenchiSulla -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 3:30:47 PM)

Well there was sarcasm dripping all over it, but since it is your thread i'll butt out and let you have fun..

Have fun with the Thread

Chickenboy -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 4:00:52 PM)

Good morning you lot. Tithe what what...[&o]

Hunger Games was amusing, but hardly the best movie ever made. I'd give it a C+.

Apollo11 -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 4:29:25 PM)

Hi all,

Everyone is welcome at "THE THREAD!!!" [:)]

What we "obey" is only subject line constant (i.e. "RE: THE THREAD!!!")... it has been like this for years and years now...

nashvillen -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 4:50:06 PM)

And like everything naval, some traditions are something you keep!

Good Morning!

BrucePowers -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 5:00:34 PM)

I truly didn't see any sarcasm in T's request.

BrucePowers -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 5:01:06 PM)

Good morning all.[:)]

Why were you watching that, when you could have been watching The Avengers?[:-]

Because Mrs. Chickenboy was involved in the decision making process. Avengers has been getting rave reviews, so that'll be on our next movie sojourn.

I'm also pleased that MIB3 is coming out soon. Enjoyed the first one particularly. Battleship looks like a train wreck. Which of you lot will be the experimental canary in the bad movie coal mine to warn the rest of us off?

Terminus -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 9:05:02 PM)

Avengers is a fantastic film. Joss Whedon actually pulled it off.

Mynok -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 9:16:50 PM)

Drive by.......

Hope all are well.

Chickenboy -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/6/2012 9:21:59 PM)

Good to see you again, Mike dude!

Monday Morning Tithe... Giro d'Italia day in town today; will be a bit toned down after our mayor dropped dead of a heart attack during a related bicycle run yesterday...

56 years old, very active and in good shape. According to the person right behind him, he "just stopped pedalling and fell into the ditch". Probably didn't feel a thing; just lights out.

treespider -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/7/2012 10:41:39 AM)

Giro ...already...boy how the time flys.

Too bad for the Mayor...at least he didn't kick it the night before with the two hookers and cheap wine.

treespider -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (5/7/2012 10:42:28 AM)

Oh yeah...pre-dawn, time to get on the road, Monday morning tithe.

Hi all,

BTW, could post WWI 16" and 14" USN guns hurt Yamato's armor?

Was there some test about that (we all heard a lot about hypothetical Iowa vs. Yamato engagements) but Iowa had latest 16"/50 caliber Mark 7 guns whilst the Colorado class had oder 16"/50 caliber Mark 5 guns?

Leo "Apollo11"

Nearly all of the heavy-calibre hits were scored at ranges of less than 15000 yards, well within Yamato's immunity zone. She was basically picked apart.
