I like that tho - when all else fails bring a bigger hammer. You might want to start prepping those units for a Strategic move by rail tho - just in case...

That seems like a small garrison force for Changsha. I usually try for 15-1800 and level 4-6 forts.

Just no way at this point in the game that the Chinese units will have the experience or morale to take on 1st line Japanese troops. People seem to get fixated on total AV but you have better experience, guns, more MMG squads and your squads have higher firepower. Not to mention control of the air. Even Indian division have trouble at this stage.

My conclusion is that Canoe is mounting some sort of amphibious counterattack into the supply-lines to Chittagong. I doubt he is moving towards Chittagong itself, but as a safeguard, the Imperial Guards will suspend offensive operations and move back to the base. They should be there in 5 days. We are also starting to construct forts there. Port Blair or Sabang? Possibly. If he moves there in strenght, say with two divisions, it will be very hard to dislodge him within 2 months since most of my divisions are tied down in India or Singapore. I will have to prepare for this eventuality. KB is ordered to leave Batavia and take up position west of Sumatra. From there they will be able to interdict the allied shipping going either way. Bettys will remain in Shanghai another day. I need them in the chinese battles right now. But if the invasion fleet continues moving east, they will rebase to Rangoon tomorrow. Hopefully Canoe will turn around now when he knows he is spotted and having lost one of his covering CVs. Indomitable might not sink, but it should need some serious yard-time.

It seems the allied task force lost heart after the torpedo hit on the Indomitable. Thank you for that, I was in no position whatsoever to handle a serious counterinvasion. Troops are just about done massing at Singapore. In about a week we will commence the final assault there. Right now Im moving alot of units into the centpac and the northpac, I am convinced the first counterattacks will land here.

I would be very interested in your thoughts at which point is sudden victory possible? I am assuming after the crushing of China and Alaska is completely built up to maximum points[given some portion of India is conquored and ship/LCU losses stablize at some ratio] ? It would think it would have to be achieved sometime after January 1944 and a 3X ratio? I am not sure a 4X ratio is achievable without a decisive naval battle of 4/5 figures of points ..

Do you have the points ratio needed for each year? I think I can get to 4-1 pretty soon. Right now its close to 19k - 7k, and Singapore is worth 1800 pts for the allies. 20k - 5k or 24k -6k is not impossible

Three days have passed. On the Yangtze, our attack failed. We got 1-1 but got 500 disabled squads. Our airforce sorties daily and inflicts about 1200-1500 casualties every day. In India Calcutta is isolated and only defended by the static units. Troops are moving in and the city should fall within days. At Singapore, our troops are moving in, the final assault should come within a week. All across the map Im moving troops around to prepare for the inevitable counterattack.
