Hmmm... hold on a minute - let me dig into it

Redmarkus5 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/13/2012 7:26:15 PM)

OK. I found the problem. I had added the required folder but put it in the wrong place!!!! Sorry - working under pressure and trying to multi-task. This really should work now. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/29184871/2c_PzKrg_WW2_Photo_Units_V5_fixed2.zip

sitito -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/13/2012 7:53:01 PM)

Now works like a charm [:)] Thanxs a lot

Redmarkus5 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/13/2012 8:00:44 PM)

Phew!

Redmarkus5 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/13/2012 9:17:51 PM)

I have just spotted a problem with the new 'fields' graphic on the snow maps. The snow version of the graphic is in place, but for some reason it's not showing up.

Apologies for this. I will try to figure it out tomorrow.

EDIT

It's tomorrow and it's still an issue. Vic is away and I need guidance from him, so if you get to Autumn/Winter in the game before I patch it, the fields hexes will not show mud or snow.

EDIT 2 - fixed!

Redmarkus5 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/14/2012 3:04:25 PM)

You can now download a combined scenario featuring:

- Panzerkrieg Version 5 map
- Panzerkrieg Version 5 B&W WW2 units
- Ritterkrieg modded unit graphics

The link can be found in this post: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3147536&mpage=1&key=&#

Redmarkus5 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/14/2012 4:35:01 PM)

Apologies to all those who pointed out the snow hex problem to me.

This is now corrected in version 5.1 which is uploading to the DL thread as I type.

jonny211 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/17/2012 3:46:47 PM)

Personally I like the green but would be happy just to be able to pick out the rivers which I keep missing, and not get confused with tiles that look like villages around towns but are in fact open fields. Hans and Jurgen expect to bed down in a cottage but find themselves sleeping in a ditch far too often.

Looking forward to this mod.

Yes, those were two of the main things that got me going on the Mod.

It's currently on version 5.1 and you can download it here: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3147536

There are a few minor bugs I am aware of, but I am still figuring out how to fix them.

Redmarkus5 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/25/2012 8:11:53 PM)

The way a few people just can't stop themselves from lashing out at 'Mods that use the same old B&W pics', or 'Mods that add German-sounding names to the map', as if they were being forced to use them. Or even being forced to read the relevant threads!

I have to laugh sometimes :)

All mods are optional, but the hit counters are always a good indicator of the general level of interest, and that's what keeps me interested and inspired.

kemmo -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/26/2012 6:56:59 PM)

The thing is, a lot of people do like these mods and they just add more enjoyment to a great game.

Redmarkus5 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/26/2012 7:10:53 PM)

Thanks.

Mod updated to 5.2. Includes updated scenarios for DCCB Version 1.02 in PZKRG format - single hex cities, but otherwise all the 1.02 OOB changes are maintained.

budd -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (8/26/2012 7:15:11 PM)

Choice is good.
It's great that you can mix and match things and get it just the way you like it. I appreciate all you modders work....so thank you.

Yea don't mind people who just like to complain. If they want to do it themselves they are welcome. As for me i'm not a fan of the german sounding units just because i get confused with that stuff easy. It's my own stupidity. I'd never bash someone work though. I'm sure i'll hear complains that my War In Europe map is not 100% accurate. It can always be improved...but i'm the one who's put months into making the damn map and scen so haters can bite me. Just remember haters gonna hate.

That's a fantastic pic - India?

wodin -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (11/9/2012 9:58:35 PM)

Just wondered why you use 1 hex city? When say a city like Stalingrad was 45 km long?

Also I have a graphic anomaly both in close in zoom and furthest out zoom..I'm new to the game so bear with me, when you click on a unti and it shows a radius of different coloured hexes will they seem to be slightly out of synch with the hex..

I love your units and the map colours..but I think I will leave the map mods mainly because I'm not to keen on the forest icon nor on one hex cities. So do you have an older version of the map mod that works that uses the OCS colour scheme but with bigger than one hex cities and the old forest icon? Sorry to eb a pain. Or what part of the mod should I install if I just want the counters and BW photos?

LiquidSky -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (11/16/2012 5:38:17 AM)

I heavily use Redmarkus' map mod, and a bit of the other peoples. Then I did some changes of my own.

It bothered me that the rivers were hard to differentiate. There are 4 types (with the Volga being it's own type)...Major, Medium, and minor...so I changed the graphics so I can see them easier.

The city thing bugged me as well, when I attacked a hex of Rostov thinking it was clear, when instead it was urban....so I gave all the city hexes a darker shade of grey. You can see what I have done here:

You only get the one hex cities if you use my edited ('PZKRG') scenarios - it's just an option. Stalingrad on my modded map is represented by more than one hex to reflect its massive size - Stalingrad N, South, etc. However, very few 1942 cities were more than 10k across.

If you use the map mod and play the vanilla scenarios, the city sizes are also vanilla.

Unfortunately the forests are changed whichever scenario you use.

kfmiller41 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (12/29/2012 2:54:56 PM)

Never mind, found the problem myself[:D]

Urpå -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (7/22/2014 8:10:38 AM)

When I load Panzerkrieg's Trappenjagd scenario there's no option for hardcore recon or more constrained oil that appear for the vanilla scenarios. Really like the map and counters but is it possible to add these options when using the mod?

gwgardner -> RE: PanzerKrieg Map Mod (DISCUSSION) (12/5/2014 5:33:34 PM)

Is this mod available anywhere else? The link in the first entry of the thread is no longer working.

Hi,

I don't play this game much and work is pretty hectic.

Here is a link to all my old Panzerkrieg mod files. Play around and edit them as you wish!

thanks again for the work and share[&o]

Defcon4 -> RE: PanzerKrieg Map Mod (DISCUSSION) (3/6/2016 12:44:17 AM)

Links to the Panzerkrieg Map Mod no longer seem to work. Just wondering if the mod is still available somewhere.

Thanks.

Redmarkus5 -> RE: PanzerKrieg Map Mod (DISCUSSION) (3/11/2016 8:49:32 AM)

Sorry guys - more Dropbox problems. Had to delete and re-upload everything. Here's the latest link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fc799szxr22nmv4/PanzerKrieg%20Mod.zip?dl=0

carll11 -> RE: Board Game Map Mod (WiP) (9/5/2016 2:38:38 PM)

There is no Mods folder in my CB....I'd very much like the WW2 era pics for my unit details.

I installed JSGME but the mods folder is Inside the JSGME folder, should I pull it out to the main CB folder ? ( its shown there in the folder graphic here; http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3147536&mpage=1&key=&#
