Looked up the code, and unpack/pack only affects strategic move before unit starts moving. If unit is in non-strategic mode, then it will start moving even still 'unpacking'.
--
Logically, it seems that un/packing should apply to strat-2-other rather than just other-2-strat. Not sure if this is a defect.
I'm going to remove the mode check and just not move if un/pack is not zero.
Any objections or reasons why this wont work?

Gday Michael,

Norton says this is unsafe and wont let me download it :-(

pws1225 -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/27/2014 12:43:58 PM)

It worked fine for me using Viper Internet Security.

EHansen -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/27/2014 12:46:43 PM)

I downloaded it and I have Nortons installed.

btd64 -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/27/2014 12:56:31 PM)

JeffK, Does the threat look like this.

[image]local://upfiles/33903/7F1E24A9BBA5490AA214E4CC02769211.jpg[/image]
I also have norton and all of the other patches downloaded fine. When I go to install it I get what you see.[:@]

witpqs -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/27/2014 3:50:02 PM)

I use ESET NOD32 and it was not a threat. Norton is somewhat known for more false positives than others.

I've had Norton problems with one previous update, but only one. If you're the first or second person to download it Norton kicks it. Turn Norton off for 5 minutes, download, install, then turn Norton back on.

CrackSabbath -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/28/2014 5:35:41 PM)

I'm in a PBEM game using the latest Beta, playing DaIronBabes C version 5c, with the extended map w/stackng limits loaded. I double checked that I have the correct pwhex files etc loaded.

I'm seeing the BF for Abadan and Aden stranded in the middle of the ocean. While this would be cool if I had a James Bond style underwater base, I'd prefer to have them in their ports.

Any ideas? Can it be fixed in-game?

EHansen -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/28/2014 5:41:19 PM)

It looks like you did not install the required map panel upgrades.

CrackSabbath -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/28/2014 6:52:58 PM)

I double checked that I have the extended art files loaded per the instruction, along w/the associated "pw..." files in the game folder. I tried loading the same scenario v. the computer & the prob wasn't present. It's something that's only happening w/the PBEM file.

Here is the file I downloaded.

EHansen -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/28/2014 6:54:52 PM)

I was wrong, you do have the right panels installed, sorry.

JeffroK -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/28/2014 10:20:20 PM)

Thanks for the help, I was download 22 so it could be Norton playing safe, I'll try again.

JeffroK -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (2/28/2014 10:23:15 PM)

Bloody computers.

Went into history, told it to trust the file, downloaded and got told it already existed!!!!

I'm going back to pen and paper, if i can find a shop that still sells them!!

btd64 -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (3/2/2014 2:44:17 PM)

CrackSabbath, I had the same issue. Just go into the Editor and change the hex coordinates for that unit and the other one at Abadan.
Cheers [sm=00000436.gif]

It's that simple? This is a PBEM game, will that be an issue?

Thanks for the response!

I believe that he meant edit the scenario. Games in progress cannot be edited, except by a developer.

OK, I'd be shocked if you could edit an in-progress game. All sorts of mischief would be possible. I'll live w/my James Bond underwater base force.

Thanks, I'd have been shocked if you could edit an ongoing game. All sorts of mischief would be possible. I'll be happy with my James Bond underwater base force.

btd64 -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (3/4/2014 1:59:43 AM)

I edited the location coordinates in the scenario file at the beginning of my ironbabes game. worked fine. even the reinforcements were ok.[8D]

Califvol -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (3/9/2014 12:14:57 AM)

I just loaded the Beta. I had been using the latest official patch. Previously as the turn executed if I hit the space bar it turned the message delay off. If I hit it a second time it turned the message delay back on. That does not happen when using the beta.

In the beta is there a new button to press to turn the message delay off and on while a turn executes?

Thank you.

michaelm75au -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (3/9/2014 8:04:43 AM)

Pressing CNTL-Z may be what you want.

Califvol -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1123v update (3/9/2014 4:57:10 PM)

YES! That's it.

Thank you.

Great work.

One step closer to perfection.

Thanks for the new build, michaelm!

czert2 -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1117 updated 22 September 2012 (3/22/2014 12:44:57 PM)

it is posible to add when you set destination for unit which you move via RR that in destination it will keep stategic deployment or not ?
It is realy simple, since now it allways keep stategic redeployment, well it is usefull if you weant to transport that unit from desination port, but it make problems if destination is front line and you forgot to change them to combat after they reach destination.

and here is second idea - it is posible to add to all TF info how many turns it will take for them to reach thier destination ?
it can be next wayponts, bombardement target or home port :)
and some info about how long it will take loading/unloading of troops/supplies will be nice too.

Use Tracker - it reports when LCU reach their destination.

czert2 -> RE: Patch 07 - Unofficial Public Beta - 1117 updated 22 September 2012 (3/22/2014 3:02:06 PM)

well, problem is that i dont (only) want to know at how long LCU arive at destination but navy TF too :).
