May/Jun 43 Allies initiative Weather is storm and rain. fine in Med. US naval, CW and Russia land. US sinks Japanese convoy in Coral Sea. CW and US ground strike in Italy, one Italian Fighter and one CW Bomber lost over Taranto. Partial disorganizing results. Taranto falls as does the Italian Inf in the toe after it was rendered OOS. US fleet of transports and escorts are also now in the West Med poised for invasion of Either northern Italy or The Vichy south Coast.

May/Jun 43 Axis impulse 1 ( impulse 3 ) Storm and rain Germany land, Italy and Japan combined. Japan sends out convoys to China Sea Italy and Germany sedn air and ships to W Med and It Coast. IN W Med the fight cost the CW a Fighter and a convoy, A German NAV was aborted. rouind2 did not find. In It Coast CW lost a Fighter and a CVP,Italy had 2 NAV aborted and for round 2 no find. Germany moves more troops to the Penza area but no attacks in storm. Several German units are moving south to Italy.

May/Jun 43 Allies impulse 2 ( impulse 5 ) Fine everywhere All land. US DoW Vichy. CW and US units enter Vichy and US invades as well, CW takes Toulouse at a cost of a Div and The US lands next to Marseilles. US also invades and takes Guadalcanal, and Kwajalein after a massive ground strike attack and shore support to the invasion. A Marine was lost in the attack. CW units take Naples with a loss of a Mot and some units disorganized.

May/Jun 43 Axis impulse 2 ( impulse 6 ) Fine everywhere Germany land, Italy combined, Japan naval Japan sinks US convoy in Marshalls and a US Cruiser in Coral Sea. Italy does not find Allied fleets in W MEd and It Coast. Germany rails a Mech from Russia to France and German units move south from Munich into Italy. Other German units move south and towards the French border in Italy. German Air in Koenigsberg rebase to the West. German forces finally took Penza but will probably not move into Siberia, will need to send some units back to the west and generally take defensive positions in Russia.

A Vichy Mech east of Toulouse was knocked out as was the Inf in Marseilles, the Vichy fleet rebsed to Toulon US lost a Mot in the Marseilles attack. Looks like this could be the summer of Italy falling. Also, USSR might get the breathing space it needs to build the airforce required to make a comeback in 1944-1945.

Japan lands defensive troops along their perimeter Germany rails 2 units from Russia to France and moves south in Italy. A German Div occupies a saved BP hex in Southeast France. A single attack in Russia at the Caucasus takes a hex and knocks out a Russian Mil. During the Conquest phase Italy was incompletely conquered. The Allies held Tripoli and Taranto and had garrison superiority after many Allied planes rebased to southern Italy at the end of the turn.

Germany attacks in the Caucasus knocking out the flanks of the Russian defenses but suffer all disorganized in thewestern side. July/August 43 Allies impulse 1 ( impulse 2 ) fine US supercombined, CW and Russia land IS invades Bougainville and reinforces Guadalcanal. Rome falls to the CW forces. The last Vichy unit is killed by the US in south France. CW knocks out an Italian Mech in France Russian units in Siberia are moving tactically. July/August 43 Axis impulse 2 ( impulse 3 ) Fine Germany a nd Italy land, Japan combined. Japan misses US convoys. CW downs Italian bomber and Germany downs a Russian Fighter. One more attack in the Caucasus takes one more hex but at a cost of a Div and a Gun lost and all disorganized. No more German attacks there this turn. It is probably too late to succeed.

July/August Allies impulse 2 ( impulse 4 ) Fine USA and Russia land, CW combined Several ground strikes in France - 1 US bomber and 3 German Fighters downed. Russia makes it first counterattack in the north end of the Siberian front, 1 German Inf and 2 Russian Inf lost. USA takes Nice and the Allies advance in France. La Rochelle is in CW hands.

July/August 43 Axis impulse 3 ( impulse 5 ) Fine all land All the Axis powers performed minor defensive position adjustments, no attacks. German Ground strikes did disorganize 2 US units in France.

July/August 43 Allies impulse 3 ( impulse 6 ) Fine All land CW and US ground strikes in France and Italy all fail. Russia slowly creeps westwards in the Main front with Germany, no attacks. US firms up their positions in France and the CW makes one attack knocking out a German Mech.

July/August 43 Axis impulse 4 ( impulse 7 ) Fine Ge land, Italy and Japan pass for 20% EOT chance. German round strikes have only a minor success in France Germany tries to form a better line against the Allies in France but doe not have enough units available there, another unit was railed from Russia to France. The lini in Russia is still holding but is getting thinner. Turn did not end.

July/August 43 Allies impulse 4 ( impulse 8 ) Fine All land CW and US forces advance further into France, 1 attack by the CW breaks the Loire river, German bomber support and fighter escorts were aborted by CW planes.
