In the first round the Italian led Ftr and the CW Lead Ftr were both downed. next the last Italian Ftr was shot down and one CW bomber was thru. At -5 the Italian NAVs aborted to sea box. One Italian BB was sunk, a BB and a CA damaged. The second round no one found.

Nov/Dec 42 Allies impulse continued... Russia rails Saratov factory to Baku, the rails to the east are cut. CW troops land in Sicily and Fighters rebase there. There are still Italian units remaining in Sicily as well.

Nov/Dec 2 Axis impulse 2 ( impulse 5 ) Fine everywhere Germany land, Italy and Japan combined. Another Italian Coast battle. Round 1 - air action CW lost 2 CVP downed A CV and a CA damaged. Italy lost BB sunk, BB damaged, BB aborted. Round 2 - air action CW lost a CVP, Italy lost Ca and BB sunk, BB damaged. Round 3 no find. Italy still has air in the sea area. Nov/Dec Axis impulse 2 continued Fine weather is nasty for the Russians. Germany attacks as the weather cleared and made good progress in Russia with quite a few Russian units knocked out. Nov/Dec 42 allies impulse 2 ( impulse 6 ) Fine everywhere CW and Russia land US combined. US did not find in the pacific. CW ground strike on Palermo disorganized an Italian Gar but at a loss of a CW fighter downed by an Italian Fighter. Palermo attacked and taken by the CW troops. US lands invasion forces in the Solomons and next to Kwajalein Russian HQ's move eastwards to safety.

Jan/Feb 43 Axis initiative and go first. Blizzards even in the Med Italy and Japan naval, Germany combined. Japan sends SUBs that sink US Convoys in Marshalls and Polynesia German SUBs fail to find in B Biscay but sinks 4 convoys in N Atlantic. One surrounded Russian Mech south of Stalingrad falls to the Germans in the Blizzard

Jan/Feb 43 Allies impulse 1 ( impulse 4 ) Blizzards in all of Europe US and CW naval, Russia land. US lost a SUB in S China Sea but sank 4 Japanese convoys and aborted 3 in China Sea. German SUBs in B Biscay tried intercepts of the CW but suffered 2 SUBs aborted. The Italian Coast saw large fleet build ups but no combat in the Blizzard weather..

Jan/Feb 43 Allies impulse 2 ( impulse 9 ) Snow and rain US naval, CW and Russia land Large Naval and air fight in Italian Coast. in two rounds CW lost a Fighter and a CVP, Italy lost 2BB and 2 Fighters and a NAV, then stayed, Sicily again OOS US in the Marianas did not find the Japanese. In the land action the CW land units took the parts of Sicily they did not already control. Turn ended on a roll of 1. No partisans

Mar/April 43 Aiiies initiative Weather rain fine in Med. US naval, CW combined, Russia land US SUb sinks Japanese convoy in Bismarck sea, lost a SUB in S China Sea. Ground striks disorganizes Malta Forces and a CW invasion takes the Island. Other CW units enter the Toe of Italy.

Mar/April 43 Axis impulse 1 ( impulse 3 ) Rain in arctic and temperate Germany land, Italy combined, Japan Naval Italy sends an air fleet to It Coast but fails to find the CW fleet. Japan sinks 2 CW convoys in Arabian Sea and a US convoy in Hawaiian Islands. Germany Ground strikes Gorki successfully and Penza with no effect. German attack takes Gorki German land forces in Russia now face a problem, Not enough units to take on both the Siberians to the east and the Caucasus to the south. Both areas have substantial Russian defenses.

Mar/April 43 Allies impulse 2 ( impulse 5 ) Fine everywhere US naval, CW an Russia land US sinks Japanese Cruiser and a Convoy in Marianas but lost 2 fighters doing it. US ships takes control of the Solomons sea after aborting Japanese forces there. Axis forces in Italian Coast fails to intercept the Allies there. CW invades and takes Salerno with shore bombardment and air support. Italian air defenders aborted. CW units also walk further into the Italian boot toe.

Germany ground strikes Vologda and Penza with half the defenders disorganized. Italy rails troops to reinforce Naples German troops moving into north Italy for defenses. German units in Russia moves south towards the Caucasus. Germany attacks Vologda and tales it, An Attack on Penza cost the Germans 3 units versus the Russians one and the city holds. CW lands more troops in Salerno and attacks east killing an Italian Inf and downing an Italian Fighter. Taranto is near. Turn ends too quickly, a 1 is rolled.

Looks like the Allies are hoping for a long summer to put the boot to Italy, maybe invade some other peripheral area, and suck German units out of USSR. Don't know how USSR feels about a long summer.
