Sep/Oct 41 Axis impulse 2 ( impulse 3 ) Rain in Arctic and N Monsoon Germany land, Italy and Japan combined The rain and disorganized units in key positions limit the German attacks to just one northeast of Smolensk, A Russian small unit was shatterd. HQ Rundstedt reorganizes key units in the south Dniepr region. Air rebases to front line positions.

Sep/Oct 41 Allies impulse 2 ( impulse 5 ) Rain Arctic and N Monsoon Russia land, Rest combined CW takes the last of the Vichy Equatorial Africa areas. Vichy ships rebase to West Indies Vichy areas. Russia is holding a straightened line but is vulnerable to possible fine weather next impulse.

Sep/Oct 41 Axis impulse 3 ( impulse 7 ) Fine everywhere Germany land, Italy naval, Japan combined. Italian SUB aborts 2 CW convoys from N Atlantic. Germany ground strike at Dnepropetrovsk was stopped by a Russian Ftr intercept, German Lnd and Russian Ftr shot down. German ground strike SW Berliansk disorganized 2 Russian units. German ground strike NW Gomel failed. The map shows the three attacks made. All were high odds Blitzes and worked fine. Stalino was taken by a blitz advance. Nov/Dec 41 Axis impulse 1 ( impulse 1 ) Blizzard and snow Germany land, Italy and Japan combined Italian SUB aborts 2 CW convoys in N Atlantic. Only two high odds attacks in Russia north of Gomel, both destroyed a Russian unit.

Nov/Dec 41 Allies impulse 1 ( impulse 4 ) Blizzard and snow CW naval, Russia land, rest combined. CW resets the convoy defenses and searches in the Med fails to find the Italian convoys there. Russia rails the Kursk factory to the east. Shown is the Russian positions hoping for continuing winter weather slowing the Germans down. Nov/Dec 41 Axis impulse 2 ( impulse 7 ) Blizzard and snow Germany land, Italy and Japan combined Only one attack in bad weather in Russia. Gomel at +14 roll4 = 18 fell but all the German units are disorganized. An almost surrounded Dnepropetrovsk only yielded a +3 attack so it will have to wait.

Jan/Feb 42 Allies impulse 1 ( impulse 1 ) Blizzard and snow CW naval, Russia land, rest combined. CW SUB sinks an Italian Convoy in Italian Coast, misses in E Med. Russia manages to disorganize the OOS German Mech unit West of Stavropol and attacks it, Germany flies in ground support at extended range and chooses blitz to escape. The attack becomes +6 and the roll is 4. A Russian Inf is lost and the German Mech survives.

Jan/Feb 42 Axis impulse 1 ( impulse 4 ) Blizzard and Snow Germany land, Italy and Japan combined. German ground strikes on Dnepropetrovsk with 2 bombers only disorganizes 1 of 3 units there. German troops advance slowly eastwards from Smolensk and Gomel but no attacks in Blizzard and snow weather. Japanese troops in Siam moves to the Malaya border. The USA has not yet passed the war appropriations bill so Japan feels safe to delay attacking the CW awaiting better weather.

Jan/Feb 42 Allies impulse 2 ( impulse 7 ) Blizzard Blizzard and snow Russia land, rest combined. CW invades the Vichy West Indian territories and moves into the French Guyana. Russia gets another chance to knock out the German Mech west of Stavropol, this time it works even with a roll of 5. Germans could not fly to defend in Blizzard.

an/Feb 42 Axis impulse 2 ( impulse 11 ) Blizzard even in the Med. Germany naval, Italy and Japan combined. German SUB damaged in N Atlantic with no success against convoys. German ships in B Biscay fail to find in the Blizzard. Turn did not end.

Jan/Feb 42 Allies impulse 3 ( impulse 15 ) Snow and snow CW, Russ land, rest combined Cw takes Vichy French Guyana and Guadeloupe. Cw attacks and takes Tripoli using HQ support and shore bombardment. An Italian bomber got thru and the CW lost a Fighter downed by an Italian Fighter. Russia backs off the Dnieper line and works to set up city defenses and the next river line to the east. A few units are stationed in the Caucasus. Turn ends. USA finally passes the War Appropriations Bill

Mar/Apr 42 Axis initiative impulse 1 Rain arctic rest fine. Germany land, Italy air, Japan DoW Cw, 2 chits to US entry. Supercombined action. Japan gets into postions for invading in many places. Japanese SUB's sinks CW convoys in several areas A major air to air fight in W Med is shown at its start below. The first CW shot downed the German Fighter and killed the pilot with no adverse result on the CW. The Axis now outclassed in the air in W Med aborts all. Mar/April 42 Axis impulse 1 continued Germany finally takes Dnepropetrovsk after successfully ground striking three units there. 6 German units were disorganized though. Rain in the north slowed the moves down and no attacks there. In the Pacific Japan invaded Malaya from Siam and threaten Singapore. Invasions also near Batavia and in Tarakan and Balikpapan. Rabaul was taken as was Port vila. New Zealand was also invaded.
