Italy initiates combat first in Cape St. Vincent. I suppose CW Whirlwind is not flying?

Allies want to hunt down subs or avoid combat?

Edit: If you fight I think you don't choose naval air. Depending on what Italians choose both sides take some damage and you have 6 surprise points.

If Italians take submarine combat (CP's take CW losses) Italy takes X 2A before any points are used. CW can reduce own damage down to A.

If Axis take surface combat Italy takes D 3A before any points are used. CW can reduce own damage down to NE and use some points to increase damage.

If you choose to fight (and Italy can choose) Italy will choose submarine combat. In this case, how do you want to use your points?

You can also use 4 points to choose surface combat.

Okay, try this for size.

CW chooses to fight but only include sub in the 3 box. If sub combat still chosen, then 4 points to reduce losses to NE and 2 points to increase damage from X to X, D. If surface chosen, then 2 points to reduce losses to NE and 4 points to increase damage from D, 2A to X.

Edit: CW will stay for second round.

Allied damage was NE so I used 2 points to increase damage. Sub survives D but is damaged. Naval combat is over, no losses to Allies.

Japan retreats in China to east in order. Japan leaves disorganized NAV behind in Manchuria.
Germany moves units to east.

Bangkok MIL debarks to Hainan.

No land combat this impulse.

Germany rebases Ju88 to front line in northern front. Bf109, Stuka and He111 are rebased to front line in southern front.

Japan rebases FTR from China to Manchuria.

Von Bock reorganizes MIL and 2x INF in Novgorod area. Von Leeb reorganizes 2x INF in failed Odessa attack area.

Back to Allies.

USSR sends 2BB and Ca to Baltic 3-box.

CW sends 3CV, 3BB and 5CA to West Med 3-box. CP from Cape Town to St Vincent.

US sends CP and Trans loaded with F4F to Polynesia sea zone.

2 areas for Naval combat.

CW declines West Med.

USSR initiates in Baltic. Searches of Allies 10 and Axis 8 soon put a stop to Allied ambitions in that domain.

Do Italy wish to engage in the West Med? Germany can fly a Ftr to the 1 box and Italy a Nav to the 2-box if they do.

Freccia initiates combat. No more planes, NAV will join box 2 little later when Beaufighter is shot down or aborted. If aborted, Freccia goes to La Spezia and Falco to Genoa.

This could be a problem.

Searches Axis 2, Allies 8. Axis has 4 surprise points. I presume the Axis don't want to avoid combat, so how do they wish to spend them.
