The only one that I have had any problems with is John Tiller Battleground: Civil War and then Win10 went on its own and installed Directplay. Solved the problem. Just saying.

untested as yet, not sure if it will or won't be tested, i'll ask and see if it's going to be done or not and get back to you... [Classic (Free) Games] for a guess will remain untested as they are old and no longer supported or sold, but could be wrong, have asked and will amend if found to be wrong and will then test them... [;)]

thank you ZakBlood, I will understand if Pacific War will not be tested since it's a free Matrix wargame. still, since it's great classic value for the old grognards out there, I think that such hypothetical test it would be greatly appreciated [:)]

it's not my call to make, atm i'm only testing one that's a bought version for support purposes, but once done i guess i can try them all, as i have the time, but it may take a while as i fit in stuff like alpha's and beta testing first, just do this is my spare time to help out[;)]

Hello friends. I´m trying to run Highway to the Reich on Windows 10, but the texts doesn´t appear. ¿Have I to add switches like in War in the Pacific (for example)? ¿What can I do? Because it´s a game I love too much. Thank you very much.

the games no longer supported or sold, so for me at least there's no way to test it either for windows 10, if i had a version i'd be more than happy to spend time on it or any version that's maybe worth the time as long as it's not a DOS game etc, as you only need a dosbox type loader to get those working anyway

Anyone have a fix for Highway to the Reich? I know Matrix no longer supports it but I paid good money for it and would like to play what I paid for. It gets black screen and messed up text in the menus on both Win8.1 and 10. Tried all the compatibility modes already and no luck.

The issue is that the game doesn't have an option for it. Your best chance is to use the same workaround explained for Uncommon Valor: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3912371 D3DWindower is compatible with Highway to the Reich., so at least you should be able to play in a fixed 800x600, 1024x768 or 1280x1024 window, which are the only resolutions supported by the game.

Hello MWIDunn, Yes, sorry but this game does not work on systems newer than XP, as is stated on the product page. Unfortunately although we do try to make games compatible for as long as possible this game's development cycle has finished and the developers are no longer around. I'm sorry for this. You could always try using virtualisation software to create a virtual XP system to get the game working.

What about porting the older Close Combat games to the PITF or GWTC engine instead? Surely that would be a lot easier than rewriting the code for the old 16-bit engine.
