Kurt Knispel -> RE: Windows 10 Compatibility List (9/5/2017 7:46:11 AM)

So you are saying that - using the above - one can get SPWAW & MBT to work without any issues under Win10?

zakblood -> RE: Windows 10 Compatibility List (9/5/2017 8:03:44 AM)

no. what i'm saying is adding most or some of this will get most games working, not a single named game, some games need other settings altered as well to work in windows 10, and they if still made and supported will or should have there own guides now in the correct forum

for a example

Lourdesman -> RE: Windows 10 Compatibility List (10/8/2017 2:14:08 PM)

Hi all - Is the list all the way back on first post from 2015 the current win 10 compatibility list? If not can anyone post a link to current list? Thanks for help! Lou

zakblood -> RE: Windows 10 Compatibility List (10/8/2017 2:15:57 PM)

as mew build of win 10 out soon, so more testing needs doing[;)]

Windows 10 (1709 RS3) "Fall Creators Update" Final 16299.15 is the latest version released to manufacturers on 17th Oct 2017

I have a win 7 machine with a kaby lake cpu,,,, so I can't get security updates. Looking to see what games I would lose if I updated to Win 10. I shoud be good but worried about John Tiller Civil War.... Battles in Normandy... World in Flames .... and War in Pacific AE. I am not very techy so if I need to tweek the program I really need to be hand held and have step by step intructions. Thanks for your help zakblood

zakblood -> RE: Windows 10 Compatibility List (10/9/2017 4:34:03 AM)

almost all the forums have mods or members to help out, and there's always support when not, so nearly all will work without much effort, with only a few needing something simple to alter

zakblood -> RE: Windows 10 Compatibility List (10/18/2017 8:37:16 AM)

don't understand this bit? what do you mean, which game needs it, or how it done etc?

as each and every game is different, with some games needed nothing, while others just need older files adding, and others needing some smaller modification etc

zakblood -> RE: Windows 10 Compatibility List (4/7/2018 6:46:09 PM)

Kharkov: Disaster on the Donets http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4463863

Across the Dnepr - Second Edition http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4463886

both games works right out of the box with no edited needed in windows 10, im on 1920x1080 btw and game works at full screen, just changed to 1280x1024 in game settings

but game doesn't support alt tabbing in and out, which is only the smallest thing i've found, but apart from this, works well in windows 10.

adnserver -> RE: Windows 10 Compatibility List (5/21/2018 6:12:03 AM)

windows 10 tbh has no more spying than any other, including Mac OS X 10.6, same as all versions of windows, it includes what it always has, back doors for stuff to go back to base, same as every operating system that's ever come out, it's just now days they are more open about it and what goes back, it's nothing to worry about, and nothing compared to the amount of stuff you loose when using mail or searching the net etc with most browsers even, only way to be totally safe is don't use any form of electronics at all and go back to the stone age, then no one will know you or where you are or what your doing for that matter, smart phones, smart watches, are all watching and recording something you may not like, same as most cars now days, so the list goes on

You know, back in the day with the rotary dial phone that weighed 5 lbs, that other person on the party line wasn't Betty or Aunt Jill. It was J Edgar Hoover in a dress and cotton apron keeping tabs. As long as there is a government there must be controls ....

7 is no longer supported my MS unless you are a business and pay for the support. It will cost more as time goes by until a set date when even business installs will no longer be supported. So if any vulnerabilities arise you are at risk. [;)]
