Here's a list of the losses sorted on the number of losses. Light losses so far.

larryfulkerson -> Soviets are active (11/22/2017 11:22:35 AM)

I was attacked by some Soviet units and so I guess the Soviets are active and fighting mad. So now I'm at war with the
Soviets. I'm holding my own so far so it's not too bad. I send an extra division to this area just in case but it
hasn't arrived yet. There may be a lot of them, I'm not sure.

Larry if he's better and always beats you I'd recommend you play allied side since they have more resiliency. This will give us all a more entertaining AAR I think. Thank you for the AAR.

Yeah but he beats me when he plays the JAPS too. But I think you're right. I think he should do the AAR. You're
welcome as always. I wish Thomas would post more stuff in this thread, hint hint.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.4 (11/22/2017 6:48:00 PM)

Here's what's going on in the middle to the west of Hong Kong in China. The Chinese are finding more people to garrison
the places I can't get to and it looks like I need another fresh division to help decide the issue.

I had zoomed all the way out and was looking for water-borne targets when I spied this TF near Melborne. It's got one
major ship in it so I'm going to simply HAVE to chase it with my carriers. I'll see if I can't rake them together and
form a TF for the trip south.

Enjoying the AAR, thanks much.

I wonder why the scenario designer has shifted Canberra to the coast, ~100 miles from its actual location inland ...

Here's the Manila area. Slowly we're getting there.

I'd like to hear the answer to that myself. Maybe Thomas will chime in and illuminate us.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/22/2017 7:07:14 PM)

There's still some Allied units that need to be rounded up. I won't kill 'em I'll just make 'em do KP around the
chow hall.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/22/2017 7:13:15 PM)

I'm still in a shooting match against the CD guns at Batavia but the range of the BB is further and so the Japs have
an advantage. It's just a matter of time. I'm thinking about landing some troops somewhere else on the island and
sneak up on the guns via land route.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/22/2017 7:34:01 PM)

Here's the face of the war in the Port Moresby area right now. There's not much Allied equipment there but I don't
have a whole lot to take the place. And there's no supply where they are now. I'm depending on the ships to
support or the whole project will collapse.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/22/2017 7:53:47 PM)

So um....Thomas says that something wrong happened to the PBEM system and he somehow made a saved game file, a PBEM file
for us to continue. I'm playing it now. It worked off-line so I guess we'll play off-line from now on. I did a saved
game which caused TOAW to quit entirely. Restarting I loaded the saved game and hit end-turn to make a test file to
send back to Thomas to see if he can get into the file because I don't want to spend all night tonight working on my
moves for a file that doesn't work.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/23/2017 8:55:00 PM)

There's a situation near the border with Burma. The Allies got there first and have set up shop and are defending in
strength and my boys are out of position and tired and worn out from marching through the jungle and I don't know what
to do with them now. I guess I'm going to form a front line and play like I know what I'm doing.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/23/2017 9:06:07 PM)

Here's how Malaya is doing right now. The supply level for the Japs near Singapore is terrible and is almost too low to
do operations. In WITP-AE I would unload about 20K supplies at Mersing to fix it but in TOAW there's only
one way to fix it and that's to repair the rails all the way down the peninsula.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/23/2017 9:14:32 PM)

The Japs have started making the final assault(s) at Manila. This is planned to swamp the defenders and overwhelm them
and destroy all of them giving me the city and some supply input finally. I'm dealing with a partisan down south and
I hope to have it mopped up soon.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/23/2017 9:19:57 PM)

Mindano sees fighting still because of the mopping up that's going on. There's still some Allied units on the island
and we're in serious negotiations to settle the dispute. They think they should win and we think we should win and
we can't seem to reach an agreement. We'll just have to kill them.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/23/2017 9:30:49 PM)

Here's what Sarawak looks like now. We're still chasing down Dutch remnants and other than that the mop up is almost
done. Miri and Balikpapan are pumping out oil as fast as they can and I'm loading it on transports and shipping it
to the home islands. Miri is feeding the hub at Cam Ranh Bay and Balikpapan is feeding the hub Babeldoab and the
oil is shipped from there in those long-range deep belly transports all the way to Tokyo. There are no subs in this
game so the trip is largely uneventful. Palembang is feeding CRB also and the amount of oil we're getting out of the
ground will supply Jap ships and planes for a long time. I'd say about 4 years or so.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/23/2017 9:35:36 PM)

Sumatra has been cleared except for in the interior of the island and I don't expect any partisans in Sumatra. The island
is ready to be garrisoned and I need to fly some aircraft in to help defend. I've got some cities on the island that
need a garrison so that the Allies don't float somebody in there and take the place.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/23/2017 9:42:29 PM)

Here's the area NW of Hong Kong and we're still fighting over the road net. I've brought up some reinforcements and
that should decide the issue. Lots of hard fighting still to do but the road will soon be mine.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/24/2017 12:28:53 AM)

To the NW of Hong Kong the reinforcements are starting to disembark and redeploy and we've found some partisans and some
regular troops and we're seriously negotiating for possession of Yungning where the AVG are stationed. That city is part
of the rail net that I need so I must have it. I'm wondering what's keeping me from overrunning all of China. I'll have
to ponder that to see if that's a good idea or not.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/24/2017 1:11:59 AM)

Here's what Japan is dealing with right now. The western half. I've given thought to collapsing the perimeter in
Mongolia but when I looked into it a little more I discovered that all those troops are in garrison mode and can't
shoot or move. Or communicate. So what I have is what I got. I need to grab enough of China so that no bombing
raids can originate from China. That might be a good idea.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Pacific at War 1941-1945 v.3.63 (11/24/2017 2:06:36 AM)

The supply level is way too low to sustain operations at Singapore. I should have thought of that before I launched the
paratroopers. Once they were on the ground they became a liability and I HAD to send some troops to protect them so they
could withdraw and get ready for another mission. So the troops are there and there's no supply. I'm going to have to
hijack all the engineer units between here and Manila and put them to work on the rails to get to Singapore. The trouble
is that all the other engineers are busy elsewhere doing something relatively important too.

My plan is to draw the Japanese Army deep into China to keep them from being used against the US Marines. Burma will be another front to draw the Japanese Army into endless combat. The screen shot shows some of the endless reserves of the Chinese Army deep in China.

Note the British and Indian troops forming in Southern Burma as well as Chinese troops in the north of Burma. Some of the Vietnamese partisans are on the eastern edge of the map. All of them are looking forward to the Japanese Army.

The repair job on the Zuiho is up to 80% already. It'll be repaired in about three weeks or less. If the Americans
are starting to stir I might ought to rush the rapairs and rush the ship into combat pretty soon. But I'd like to
give my fighting boys every edge I can in this digital fight.

I was thinking about using the subchasers as bait: drive them toward those islands that I know have Allied aircraft to
get it to do an airstrike just so I could get a rough idea what kind of Allied resources there are on the island in the
way of aircraft. It's kinda hard on the ships and I've just discovered that I have only 28 of them anyway. Their AA
rating isn't the greatest, I'd better use DD's instead.

Here's a full report on the attack at Port Moresby. More bombardment was needed before the attack took place, clearly.
So I'll do that now.

attacks were executed and Manila fell and This is the full report on the battles that just occured.

long that will take.
