No ground support in east from Germany.

Does USSR want to send any planes?
Germany has 6 factor fighters in range of each combat.

Odds before ground support
Combat 1: 39,5:5 = 7:1 EDIT: Just noticed this is a city! Well, I hope I roll high...
Combat 2: 35:4 = 7:1B
Combat 3: 48:5 = 7:1B
Combat 4: 37:2 = automatic

Japan sends a carrier plane as a bomber. Japanese fighter is in stand by.

Odds before ground support are 8:1.

Does USSR want to send any planes?

Good night to all [>:]

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/11/2017 9:23:17 PM)

The CW do not use HQ Support, nor do they fly.

The Soviets do not bring in any aircraft into any of the attacks.

Thank-you.

Belay that order.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/12/2017 6:07:44 AM)

CW use HQ support.

And they intercept with the fighter and use the Whitley for defensive ground support.

Intercepting fighters are targeted first.

Surviving CW aircraft land in Santander first and then Bilbao.

Attack is assault.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/12/2017 1:58:09 PM)

Germany also uses HQ support in Bayonne and intercepts with FW 190.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/12/2017 2:01:46 PM)

First round goes for the Axis. CW chooses Mustang or Whitley to be shot down.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/12/2017 4:13:51 PM)

The Whitley is shot down. Thanks. Same as before, the RAF are ordered to target the Axis fighters first - if the Mustang survives.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/12/2017 4:52:27 PM)

Affirmative. I'm not 100% sure if I can continue today but latest tomorrow.

Then FW 190 will proof their superiority!

The way you are rolling at the moment I don't doubt it - that is why I didn't want to fly! [:)]

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/13/2017 2:50:46 PM)

Air combat is over. Allies achieved also a minor victory.

[image]local://upfiles/39586/52DC9086A3A641B0B20869362E2A117D.jpg[/image]

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/13/2017 2:53:29 PM)

Attacking HQ support succeeds (1 rolled) and defending HQ support fails (10 rolled).

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/13/2017 2:56:41 PM)

Everything else went well, except the land combat roll. 5 or more was needed to take that hex.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/13/2017 2:59:14 PM)

This ain't good either. I missed that I was attacking city and now half of my northern front units are disorganized...

I don't roll for 7:1 Blitz attacks because they are automatic.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/13/2017 4:03:32 PM)

Mayhemizer - Was the attack on the Mongols not Soviet choice? Thanks.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/13/2017 4:10:36 PM)

It is, I sent file to AllenK because I don't know how Japs move their units after combat.

Attack is 7:1, I believe USSR chooses assault or it's automatic.

Great thanks.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/14/2017 5:21:22 PM)

No unfortunate hiccups with the Japanese effort. Yamamoto advances to occupy the now vacant hex.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/14/2017 5:59:31 PM)

Japan rebases a bomber from Formosa to Haichow and a CVP at Tokyo onto Akagi.

German rebase missions:
Bf109 G-2 from Königsberg 3 hexes NE to 43,46
Bf109 F-4 from Rumania 57,52 to 56,54.

No reorgs.

Weather turns fine everywhere.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (9/15/2017 9:36:58 PM)

No declarations of war. From now on I will try to stop posting this statement (for this game). The world is at war, and there will be few new DOWs.

Land: All! For the first time in this game all the Allied nations select a land impulse.

No Port Strikes. No naval air.

Soviet bombers ground strike hex 65, 153 in Eastern Manchuria.

Will Japan intercept the Soviet bomber?

Not sure what Japanese plans are, but I answer no thank you. They might need that fighter later this turn.

Yea. But we got to keep on trying. Besides, I got that pesky FW into the air and that was my main goal here. [:)]

No luck today for the Soviet bombers.

Great Grandma and Great Grandad warspite were born in Mukden and lived under the puppet regime of Zhang Jinghui during WWII. This is my favourite picture of them. Great Grandma was always conscious of her bald patch, but this did not stop her sporting a permanent smile on her face.
